I have applied to GGSIPU , AKTU and other state colleges , I got admission in all of them but DTU was better than them So i chose it I also managed to crack bits goa but the fees was legit too high for me to afford I get rejected from lower NITS because of my rank. Rank is the only deciding factor in getting into college, nothing else college admission was just like school admission. The only difference was the huge pile of documents. JEE score was required for admission and I joined because this was the most suitable college I was getting with my score in terms of average placement and location and I was getting my preferred course. I chose Delhi Technological University (DTU) mainly because of its strong reputation for engineering, good placement record, and established alumni network. During the admission process, I had considered other colleges as well, including some NITs and state engineering colleges through the JEE Main counselling process. However, I was unable to qualify JEE Advanced, so IITs were not an option for me. Even among the colleges where I could have secured admission, DTU stood out because of its consistent placement statistics, strong coding culture, active technical societies, and location advantage in Delhi, which provides better exposure to internships and industry opportunities compared to many other institutes. The admission process for DTU is primarily through JEE Main, and students are allotted seats through JAC Delhi counselling depending on the category and quota. To be eligible, students must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board and must have appeared for the JEE Main examination, which is the most preferred exam for admission. The cutoffs vary every year depending on the branch and category, but for popular branches like Computer Science or IT, the ranks required are usually quite competitive. My admission experience was smooth overall; after qualifying JEE Main with a decent rank, I participated in the counselling process, filled my preferences, and was allotted DTU. I applied to all the iits, got some but didnt had much opportunities, applied to similar level colleges but got the best branch in dtu and applied to private colleges like thapar, vit, upes got selected in all with all branches as a option but for a eeason cutoff is hugh here as we get to experience every type of art here, proffesors are good enough and delhi being a great location for opportunities I got rejected from iits as i could not reach the minimum cut off criteria You have to give jee mains score well and get a good percentile then apply for JACcounselling eventually getting a seat in DTU...Read More

Offcourse I chose dtu as I couldn't get into any iit, if you have a choice of any better branch then env, metallurgy in iit then take it instead. In my opinion tech didn't have that much scope so I didn't take cse in a private college, dtu was the best in India at some time for mechanical engineering so, yeah I chose it and followed my interest....Read More

Because I have no interest in tech related branch means don't like coding etc.I get Ece in ipu main campus (Usict) but didn't opt because my interest in core side like mechanical,civil related branch so I get environmental engineering in DTU which is similar to civil engineering...Read More
