Remarks

The college management is really great and the staff is friendly. The rules are really well-formed and do not at any time make you feel like you are too bound. The management is just too good for an engineering college.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for IIT JEE. I got AIR 1408. I opted for IIT Bombay because I was enthusiastic about aviation. Also, IIT Bombay is good for all-round development. The atmosphere is really conducive for you to test out all your skills and interests. I also belong to Bombay so that was all the more reason to pick the college.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship at FH Aachen. The stipend for the internship was 650 euros/month. It was a three-month internship and a really different intercultural experience. I got to work on hybrid aircraft simulations which were really exciting and challenging. The appreciation for the work made me feel confident about using my skills in other activities.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are really good. More than 50% are placed in the month of December. A good mix of Nontechnical and Technical core firms come for recruitments. There are nontechnical firms that generally pay in the range of 10-20 lacs whereas the core firms such as Bosch, ISRO, DRDO pay in the range of 6-12 lacs.

College Events

4.5

There is a good mix of interesting events that happen in our college. Mood Indigo - cultural fest - footfall of 60k or moreTechfest - technical fest - footfall of 50k or more. There are many cultural events which happen for other colleges too and lots of inter hostel events which have good participation. There is also an inter IIT sports meet which has participants from all IITs and involves almost all sports events being conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really good and it is not as expensive as private colleges. The cost per semester including the hostel comes to around 40k which is a very good amount when we consider the facilities and the quality of education being provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a number of good scholarships available that completely sponsor the education of students. I did not avail one as it was for financially challenged students or students who had an outstanding academic performance. There are also loans offered for studies by different banks such as Canara which can be availed of without a lot of fuss.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is really chilled out and there are lots of activities all around the year. There are a number of interest groups for board games, sports, robotics that conduct events throughout the year. There are groups at several levels such as hostel as well as college. These really help pursue one's interests, Also there are several orientations conducted at the beginning and number of talks which help to maintain the right balance and know-how for the different aspects of societal matters.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are really good and also the mess food is manageable. The taste of the food might not be great but their hygiene standards are really good.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is really strong. The support is really good and there is an alumni cell in place which is active. There are a number of events for alumni meets and my experience has been really good at them. There are lots of learnings and pointers we get from alumni regarding our careers and studies.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is good with even spread out evaluations including quizzes, mid-semester, and end semester examinations. The evaluations and lectures are well spread giving us the chance to participate in other activities too. The schedule is not at all

Faculty

4.5

The faculty for the specialization was really supportive and also helped me develop an interest in the topic. I continue to work in the core field now. The standard of teaching and also the lab facilities are really good. There is lots of interesting pra

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
