Remarks
I wanted to take admission in a college where I could learn almost everything about Media, an apparent The Heritage Academy provides one of the best facilities for the course. The faculties, and the studio are fantastic here. So I opted for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is good. It provides with the ideas of Journalism, Mass Communication, Photography, Designing (on Photoshop), Video Editing, Film Making, Marketing and Public Relations and a ton load of outdoor activities. The course is more about practical work then theory, thus it is easier to score more in theory than in practical. One of those better things about this course is it based on practical knowledge, one can't survive here if he/she mugs-up and goes without understanding the concept(s) and practical application(s). The faculties are good. Not as great as the hype. But one will get sufficient knowledge as the guest faculties are fantastic here. And one can seek for knowledge if he/she wants, and should if you ask for my opinion.
Placement Experience
To be honest, the job opportunities are pretty low, and one has to opt for specialisation after completing the course. Though, you can have expectations for a decent internship from the college.
College Events
Since last one and half year the college has organised a few events. Which includes all the major days like Rabindra Jayanti, Teacher's Day, etc. Other then that, we have 2 marque events in AdAdda which is basically where we come up with ideas for pitching and advertising original ideas for real brands, we call up big businessmen who share their experiences. And we have a college fest which unfortunately couldn't happen this year due to the pandemic.
