Remarks

My reason to choose this college was very simple, it provides specialization courses along with the main course. They have an easy admission process and also they provide other extra guidance too( this was true for our case as a student of SoLACS, it may vary for other courses and schools). I was a bit late to take admissions in other IR colleges therefore this was the best option left for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure was way better than our expectations and it also gives focus on the preparation of government job examinations such as UPSE CSE and others. The faculties of our department (Political Science) are very good and they have a good career experience too. Faculties Prof. Jitendra Kumar Nayak, Prof. Tridib Chakraborti, Prof. Maitryee Batdhan Roy, Prof. Pallavi Sinha Das, and Prof. Nabamitha De-Bhowmik. All are specialized in one or the other brach of Political Science, Public Administration, and International Relations. They all are very kind and supportive.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements here are never assured you have to work on your own to get the placement and at last they will take the credits for your placements. This college is mostly known for its graduation courses and in current scenario no one can actually assure jobs with graduation degree in hand. They assure internships in the 2ed year of the college and they actually work on it.

College Events

3.5

Campus life here is just like running form one building to another for classes, chilling in the canteen with aloo paratha or anything form CCD, bunking lecture by sitting behind meter room and many other kinds of stuff ( having strikes and some arguments with the management is also there sometimes which is fun). Fest which took place in February 2020 was damm good for the students, fun games, competitions, hackathon, rap battle, and many others. Celebrity attraction was also good with the Playback singers Palak and Palash Muchhal, Arko Chatterjee, and live rock band fossils. Participation in the events was good. During the normal day's lot of seminars and workshops are also organized but after some time it feels irritating also for students who are not very much active in all these activities.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure includes almost everything of our needs and demands. All types of book in the library, AC almost everywhere and Wi-fi is also there but of no use. You will face network issues in most of the parts of the campus. And also all the facilities mentioned in the college booklet will not be there and if there it will not be available everywhere on the campus. For example, there is mentioned that there are 3 lawn tennis courts on the campus but there is only one court and that too in a very bad condition, same goes for swimming pool also, in-fact there is no swimming pool there in the campus, it's only there in the virtual maps. You will find many more examples like that.

Hostel Facilities

One who lives in the campus hostel has a way different life than others. He will be involved in the college and the hostel event organization and a few other good activities also like AHPL (Adamas Hostel Premier League) and a few others. One who lives in a hostel enjoys college life more than others. The hostel has good beds which are the most important, it has common washrooms but they are nicely divided among the students so that no one has to wait there. A network problem is still an issue there and hostel Wi-Fi is also not satisfying. Some facilities which were mentioned are not there like the washing machine was promised but later they denied using them so we have to give them to the washing center at Rs 25/kg which was meant to be free of cost. The rooms are available in three options i.e. single, double sharing, and triple sharing both in ac and non-ac and the same for girls are in two options i.e. double sharing and triple sharing both with ac and non-ac.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
