Remarks

The reason for choosing this college was, getting admission here in one go, since my marks were poor it was very tough for me to get admission in other top colleges and Shikshayatan comes under top 10 Colleges of Kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members here are very good, and they are very cooperative and guide you in every possible way. Teaching quality is good, and all the teachers are experts in their areas. The course curriculum is also up to the mark and better than other colleges.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

There are no placements for B.Com students, and they don't even bring companies for the internship or any kind of recruitment. Everything else is good, but placements are nil. I don't know any individual who got placed through the college of our batch.

College Events

It is a decent College, and sports in our College is the primary concern, which has numerous functions for the games chiefly young ladies fulfillment is there, some of the time they arrange Intra College and even entomb College game.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
