Remarks

I chose this college because it is one of the best colleges in Kolkata. The college has good number of student reviews and ratings. I gave the entrance exam and scored well and also got scholarship from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers in our college are qualified. Every teacher is a PhD holder with practical and good knowledge over the subjects they teach us. The teachers are very serious towards students education and try their best to give. In online class sessions too, teachers try to reach every student via mail to know or help them in their study-related problems. The way of teaching here prepares the students for the ideal industrial world, making their communication, technical and logical skills strong.

There was an equal amount of distribution of students in our course from the students selected for 4 years B.Tech. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was of 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies of our college are Amazon, Ericson, Cognizant and Byju's. About 80 % of students got internships in IT-based companies which were mostly Capgemini, TCS, Amazon and ECE based companies like Wipro.

College Events

There are annual events organized by the college. The campus crowd is what a government college comprises, which is not too crowded. The surroundings are more of a blessing to the eyes. The college provides scholarships to the students.

Campus Life

The college has a good environment with IT companies just beside it which gives students an idea of working time performed by the professionals. Each B.Tech course comprises of their well-built laboratories.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
