Remarks

Infrastructure is not upto that level. It is improving day by day but the work is very slow. Campus is small. But the location of campus is prettty good and this improves placement too. Overall nice infra.

Course Curriculum Overview

Academics not upto that level. Teachers are average. At present the college is running 12 UG courses and 3 PG courses. Geographical advantage of being in the Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata- IT Hub of West Bengal.

Course Fees: INR 28000 per year

Placement Experience

An average of 75% students were placed in reputed companies.you are looking for a great college with nice placements it is one of the top 3 colleges of Kolkata. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Videocon, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, Accenture, Fusion Charts, Johnson Controls, CGI, IBS Software, Asahi India Glass, Subex Ltd, Microsoft, Kreeti Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd, Hitachi Consulting, Cummins etc.

The college atmosphere is quite great here. Teachers are student friendly. Good faculty. Good packages given by reputable companies. If you are looking for a great college with nice placements it is one of the top 3 colleges of Kolkata. Attractive fests and events all around the year makes student life colourful and you can always fill your CV with the various events (educational as well as recreational).

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
