Remarks

The college management is good but they need to improve more on placement front.

Entrance Preview

I took JKCET exam. The score was 123. I got selected in two colleges.but I selected MBSCET which also had Good reputation.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It was an old curriculum when I had given the examination , but things have a lot changed now. The syllabus is all new, with good opportunities to flourish. I would rate it 7 out of 10.

College Events

3

Earlier freshers party used to happen but not sure it still happens or not the technical events also used to take place in which various college participated. Other than this there were hardly any events that used to take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was quite feasible it was 28000 per year so it was quite competitive in comparison to other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

It was a minority college for sikhs and hence the scholarship facilities were available to those candidates who used to fall in that minority quota.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was ok not too good but gender ratio was quite balanced. Also it was quite diversified the labs were fine, not too good or bad. And officially there were no sports events.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are no hostel facilities. However you can find a room on rent nearby to the college which is quite economical the mess/canteen was there with normal snacks and other stuff. It was good overall.

Admission

It was through common entrance examination. It comprises of all basic sections of physics, chemistry, geography. The cutoff went till 92 marks.I got 123 and has the option of various streams like computers, electronics,IT and mechanical. The result was out after 2 months of examination.

Faculty

3

The faculty of college is also upgraded you need to have a post graduation degree to become a teacher the management is good and cooperative. I would rate them 6 out of 10.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
