Entrance Preview

There is a centralized exam called CMAT this entrance exam includes gk, logic, english and maths as topics to be checked on.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was very theoretical it was not much practical knowledge the curriculum did not involve much case studies and general knowledge about the recent topics in the industry. Case studies and much more practical knowledge would have helped more.

Internships Opportunities

I got through one of a good company for internship but the stipend was 0. It was a good learning experience and it gave me a fair idea of working in a corporate world.

Placement Experience

1

The placement is below avg in XIMR and the avg package was 4-5 during my year. Most of the students got placed by themselves. This is really frustrating that the director of the college was not bothered about the placement whereas he is the one to help in developing networks.

College Events

1

There were not many events celebrated in the college and hence it was not fun there were no events as such which we could participate and look forward to which helped us in our future the Xaviers college had good events which helped us to learn than the events done by our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees were very expensive and not at all feasible for a normal middle class student. There were no provision for installment and hence it was difficult for us to actually make sure that we could pay the fees. Hence many students had taken education loan to repay the fees.

Campus Life

4

The gendee ratio was good there was not much focus on building the brand. They were more biased towards the catholic religion as they felt that they would help in developing their alumni more. The religion issue did not help in growing the college.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The mess food was avg and not really worth the price. The food did not have much options hence it was difficult to survive without a tiffin. The food quality was not very good. Hence it was very difficult for some students to survive on the canteen food hence they survived on the sandwiches outside college.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were very helpful but the alumni network was not good enough. The college did not take much efforts to develop the alumni network hence it disrupted the placement.

Exam Structure

The exams were very stressful and it was very hectic. They asked us to wait back from 9-9 to studing in college which was very much depressing as it actually did not give us much knowledge. The hectic college left no scope for students to spend some time and prepare for their studies.

Admission

It was a centralized exam by the DTE, and I got this college in the CAP round the admission process involved selecting list of top 10 colleges and selecting among them hence it was difficult to get in through the list easily as there was negative marking involved it was tough to score and hence it was a tough year.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college was very good but they were not good enough to enlighten management students. They focused more on exams and. marks instead of knowledge and practical knowledge for them academics only mattered the most. Hence it was very difficult for the weaker students to cope up with the admissions.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.
