Remarks
This university has a good placement record which was the main reason I chose this college. Almost every student gets placed in a good company. The placement cell is very good. Mostly each and every student who participates gets placed. Also, the infrastructure and the overall university campus is very pleasing to the eye. The admission was based on JEE score in my time, but now they have changed it to 10+2 passing marks. Refer to JUIT website and focus on the placement record of the university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics and Communication is a very flexible stream. The biggest advantage of choosing this stream is that one can explore both the core electronics area as well as the computer science area. The faculty here is very experienced and are highly qualified. One has to take three exams in a semester T1, T2, and T3 of 15, 25 and 35 marks resp, which are quite easy.
Internships Opportunities
Each student has to undergo six weeks of industrial training. There are many companies for internship and student can choose where to do an internship for six weeks. In-house training is also provided by the college which is also a good option.
Placement Experience
As soon as a student completes the third year, he/she becomes eligible for the campus placements. The college has a very good placement record with many students having more than one offers. After getting the degree I will be continuing with the company I got placed in.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite competitive but it's worth it considering all the facilities and opportunities provided by the university. Around 80% of students who participated in the placement drive are placed. I received offers from three companies: Cognizant, Wipro and DXC.
Campus Life
The overall campus is very beautiful. There is a number of fests which are conducted including technical fest, cultural fest, inter-college annual sports meet and some others. The annual fest, Le Fiestus is conducted in the month of April every year. The library is fully equipped with resources. There are many different kinds of clubs and committees to join.
Hostel Facilities
Each room is equipped with blowers. There are single, double and triple sharing rooms in the hostel with almost every room having a balcony. There are two gyms in the girl's hostel, one is for the first year and the others for seniors. The quality and variety of food provided in the mess exceeded my expectations.
