Shubham Bangad's Review On Sinhgad College Of Engineering - [SCOE] Vadgaon Ambegaon, Pune

MHT-CET with Maharashtra HSC board examination I got admitted in this college. I scored 140 in MHT-CET. As I my stream was fixed that is computer Engineering, I filtered some colleges. Even my city was fixed that is Pune.

Nowadays engineering has become somewhat less preferred course. As payments after engineering are very low. Moreover, not that much knowledge is gained as we think before getting admitted. Research wise the knowledge gained is zero. Even we tried to solve our problems by taking youtube course or any other online courses.

From our college side, no such internships are available. Some other institute or firms visit college to hire students as intern. But there no direct assessment from our college itself.

Campus placement of our college is extremely satisfactory and let me say that its breaking record in evry upcoming year. Many many companies do visit college for recruiting students. Right form 2.5 L to 18L per year package companies visit here. Acccenture, cognizant, infosys, Symmentec, Softlink, ES, and many more. Nearly 50-70 companies. I think this is minimum number of companies. Companies from all sectors visit here.

Events are really fabulous here. Big stars, film stars, superstars, musicians and much more are invited. As the president has many contacts in his lifetime, he conducts huge programs and many events by inviting various famous celebrities. Sinhgad Karandak, One of the most awaited events which include a number of smaller events near about 200-250 events in cultural, technology,and games.

Fees structure is nearly about 100000-110000 and is increased in some percentage every year. As other colleges it is quite same. But here we get a huge campus and many other activities to do. So yes, we can't say that it is expensive.

As said, there is some quota for backward class, reserved class people which give nice offerings on paying the whole fees. Also, some scholarships are available, don't know the exact names, but still there are some. As per the information, no loans facility is provided by the college.

Campus of SCOE ranks first in class. It includes all. Various colleges, canteens, cafeterias, banks, ATMs, gardens, open theater, auditorium, hostels, mess, parking lots, school, space for students for hanging out. The campus is clean enough. Regular maintenance is carried out. Gender ratio is probably 1:1.

One thing is sure in singhad, there no one knows who is senior and who is junior. So this is an advantage as well as a disadvantage too. Advantage is there is no interfere of seniors in juniors.

Exams are totally conducted by universities so there is not as such college pattern. But even then one mock test is conducted before each university exam. Various external exams are conducted here. Exams are conducted on strictly basis.

For admission, MHT-CET was my gateway. My AIEEE score was low and as there was only 20% quota fo AIEEE, I ran through MHT-CET. I filled the college preference list online on dte site. Paid applicable fees for form and waited for the result. In the top of the list I filled COEP, then PICT, then VIT, then MIT and then SCOE. As these other colleges were seemed to be more famous than SCOE.

The faculty is helpful, but somewhat partiality prevails in college. Moreover, even they struggle hard to make student understand, but they fail to do so. Lastly, students depend on the internet to gain knowledge. But yes, as there are many curricular activities holding in our college every now and then, faculty do help in such activities.
