Remarks

You can get admission into this college in BTech program in 3 ways. JEE MAINS (either through direct entry or through CSAB OR joSAA). You can visit the college website in may around when admission is open and submit your jee results and they will give you seat according to cutoff. In this way, you have to sit in CSAB OR joSSA COUNSELLING and therefore you can choose this college from there. I was above average student I gave JEE MAINS got a rank of 1,12000 and got CSE in 1st round of COUNSELLING you can get a seat here in civil up to a jee rank of 3 lks and by holding this rank I was pretty much happy as the college has an amazing environment-friendly greenish campus. It's located in Jammu. And is funded by. Mata Vaishno Devi shrine board. And the placement scenario is getting better every year. Faculty here is just amazing very co-operative ver supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose CSE because I have damn heavy Intrest in coding. Faculty here is very supportive and cooperative as it's a residential University you can always clear your doubts within working or non-working hours. Faculty tho is of every type like some teachers are IIT graduates and have completed PhD and have their own published research work. And those who don't have this much still have a capability to clear all your doubts trust me they got that amount knowledge even they know how to use technology in a right way like some teachers rarely use whiteboard or markers they generally use the smartboard. In every class, you will find 95-100 students and the majority of classes in 1st year are held in the lecture theatre and this gives you a feel studying in lecture theatre are just amazing. Exams here are conducted on internal bases we have 2 exams of each subject in every semester i.e. minor exams major exams as exams are conducted internally so obviously questions are easy.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements although till now are not very good but this scenario is getting better year by year. You can find GATE top scorer from out university and out campus placement is perfectly fine in the end in the subject like engineering the placement is in your hand it does not matter how. Your college is Technology is way ahead now if you deserve something you. Definitely gonna get it without any doubt. JUST FOR SOME STATISTICS. Average placement of University is 4 lakh per annum. My plan after a degree is to go abroad for doing masters in computer science engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very less if you compare it to any private colleges and trust me the infrastructure you get is better than private colleges. Tution fees are 60k per year and if you combine mess and hostel fees it's around 35k per year which is just unbelievable like it's less than IITs and nits and private colleges are our of league here reason is SHRI MATA VAISHNO DEVI SHRINE BOARD. Funding is heavy then you can expect. There is an ample amount of scholarship. If you score under 1 lakh rank them they give you. Tution fees scholarship for 2 sem. If it's under 50k then its for 4 sem and if you score In top 10% of your stream then tution fee waiver for next sem. They gonna support you everywhere you just study.

Campus Life

4

With the lush green campus of 474 acres, this university is heaven. The place where it's located is amazing just near to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. Amazing hills and valleys. Great connectivity with Jammu. The hostel is a 5-star type like you can't expect a better hostel then hostel in our university. The annual fest is titiksha and it's amazing we get many star night and day fest is amazing too. Library is amazing. We have a library of 4 floors with every possible book available of every type Classrooms are best equipped with smart boards and labs are just very fine we have Linux lab and many labs other than that with good machines. Sports life is not good here trust me all you can play is cricket basketball or volleyball but within University interuniversity competition are not there. Yes, clubs definitely here are good or just amazing like music club namely swarang is just amazing we have got a chance to perform in IIT Bombay MOOD INDIGO too.

Hostel Facilities

4

University is fully residential. If you are enrolling in uni. You have to live there but tension not. Hostels are perfectly good. But yes college is funded by Shrine Board so the chicken is not allowed in university and this the reason we dont have chicken or even egg in mess menu. Hotel fees are 20000 per year and mess fees is 25000 per year so the combined cost comes to 55k per year which is perfectly under budget I think. Hostel for 1st year gets closer by 9. And for girls (all year get closed by 8:30). Mess food is purely vegetarian and is perfectly good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
