Internships Opportunities
Never came across any such internship provided by the college during my stay at 2004-2008. It will be better if the college start such initiatives in future.
Placement Experience
Major IT companies visited for campus selection. Also the college was invited for off-campus at other college which also managed to place most of the students with packages as per the industry standards. The placement cell was active enough to managed around 90% of students placed in the 3rd year itself.
College Events
College managements hold a cultural program once a year. Which invites students of all streams. The students also participates actively in the programs which makes it a grand success. Also it hold program for 3rd year students in order to enhance skills so that they crack the campus selection procedures of top companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan facility was available and it was availed by some of the students. I never came across the scholarship facility any such during my tenure.
Exam Structure
Semester exams were done as per the WBUT schedule. Apart from that the college management did conduct exams and viva once in a month. Also a pre-test just before the commencement of semester examination. Some departments conducted exams once in 15 days. Laboratory work scheduled in the 2nd half of the college.
Admission
Admission through WBJEE. Notification of the exams generally come in the month of december end and exams are scheduled in the month of May and results are expected to be July. In order to get admission into the college one need to successfully pass 10+2 and must have a valid rank in the WBJEE. Need a rank within 5000 to be able to get admission in streams like ECE EE AND CSE.
Faculty
The faculty in the college were well experienced. They were qualified and also had experience of teaching in reputed college across India. Visiting faculty were ex-faculty of top ranked college of west Bengal. There was specific faculty for specific subject. Faculties were not over burdened with teaching too many subjects.
