Ravi Raj Bandhu's Review On JIS College Of Engineering - [JISCE], Kolkata

WBJEE my rank was 21830 I heard about this college is good for CSE, and also realised after admission along with CSE, IT, ECE are the top branch of this college, one can suerly go for it.

In this college paticularly CSE is the leading Branch here, and as per my opinion the faculty members of my dept. are very caring,etc. as per development here lab are in very good condition especially the centre of IBM and IIT bombay give a more star to its fame.

College arranges vocational & need based curriculum training for students in industries for 4-6 weeks the Engineering students of the college undergo their training at various prestigious organizations like VECC, Air India, Doordarshan, BSNL, DRDO, WBPDCL, WBSEDCL, DVC, Bridge & Roof, KMDA, Shapoorji & Pallonji, Durgapur Steel Plant, NTPC, Metro Rail, Simplex Infrastructure, Centre For Electronics Test Engineering, Eastern Railway, RITES Ltd., CESC, CMC, NIIT, WEBEL, HCL Info systems, IBM ACE, Globsyn, VSNL etc.

In year 2015 around 85-87% were placed In our college many reputed company visit for placements the top recruiters are IBM, Tech Mahindra, HP, amazon and many other in about 45 company have came for placement last year and for this year i don't have approx data till now.

1st semester = 85000(approx), 2nd semester = 42000, 3rd semester = 42000, 4th semester = 42000, 5th semester = 43000, 6th semester = 43300 7th semester =45000, 8th semester =4500 if taken hostel facility 5000 admission charge for 6 month 33000 the provided fees is approx since i don't have the document now.

There are few scholarship for minority, and loan facility is provided By Near PNB brach Kalyani which has collaboration with our college.

For social interaction i must say that its good and every colleges are also, gender ratio in percentage 60:40(b/g) labs are moderate mainly as per available campus sports is limited competition are held regularly. we have many clubs Robotics , NCC ,NSS, Coding, musical, sports, etc.

JIS provides a good hostel facility in terms of security food accommodation social lifestyle and many others provided we have one boys hostel building and 2 girls hostel building rooms are affordable in terms of space ( 2 in each room) every student are provided there own study table, bed, locker and a common balcony for the room partners.

For me i gave many into to my seniors its was quiet fearful as i was new and the always thinking about raging and all, but thankful nothing such happen they all are good and also help u in all aspects.

The exams are taken in a serious manner as every college does 75% manadatory attendance also leads to cancellation for appearing students without it well questions are not so tough and not so easy as its not IIT affteral 3 exams held in a days continously which shivers our mind from root.

I gave WBJEE examination , my scored rank was 21830 then is wbjee couselling ( choice filling ) i selected this college then in 1st round only i got this college then physical reporting process seat allotment all these documentation verification process happened, then last date for submission of admission fees were given as per the college granted.

Paticulary for CSE there mission is to provide students with an open environment that encourage professional and personal growth. The academic programs mission is that to prepare students for flexible career paths and continuing advancement in computing. The students are motivated and encouraged to build a successful careers in the computing professions through flexible programs of study that can be adapted to support individual career goals.
