Remarks

I chose this college because of its good placement record. Also, my rank was a little low but kept myself indulged in the counseling and I finally got this college in the inter round counseling. I also heard from seniors that the faculty is very good so I took this college over others. It is also better than most of the colleges under the Techno India group except the salt lake main campus. I also watched many youtube videos and my college was always positioned in the top 5 colleges of west Bengal private colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I always had a keen intrest in coding, web development and app development. I only opted for CSE and IT during counseling also. IT is on of the leading industry which also attracted me to join this course. Also, the faculty members are very friendly and also very knowledgeable. They explain everything in detail and make sure we get everything. Tests have been taken regularly and also UT is taken. The level of question papers was moderate and also because I was studying from the begging I did not face such issues.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many of the seniors do off-campus internship and college have them along the way. Some companies where seniors have done internships are amazon, google, and also some small startups and small companies.

Placement Experience

4

The placement record has been so good. If you are good at coding and all those fields you won't need any specific year. You can opt for an internship in any year. But yeah college makes company come for an interview in the 6-7 th semester. If you are maintaining good grades then you can easily get an average package. But yes if you are from the core department then the placement scene not too good. for related jobs, you have to be having good grades. If you haven't studied any college can give you a job. The placement cell also helps a lot. Most of the students with average grades get placed while pool campus placement. College also helps in off-campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees is somewhat around 380000 for all four years. For the 1st sem during admissio you have to pay a total of 72250 which include tutuion fees and other expenses and 36000 for training and placement studies. The second semester is 59250. The third sem and fourth is 42250 and increases 1000 every next year. The college helped me in getting scolarship through NSP portak. They themselves informed us about different schmes and also helped in the process. Many studnts have also opten for education loan and college have helped them a lot.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual tech fest is named phoenix. New ideas and technology are showcased in this event. Also, many competitions are organized. The annual cultural fest is held at the end month of the year. A lot of programs are organized and a very big and long event is organized. Freshers are also given a party by the seniors to break the ice. The library is also big and most of the course books are available there. There is also a common reading room for all to sit and read. The classrooms are big and spacious. There are different cultural and sports clubs on the campus. Events like cricket ad football tournaments are held. Also, sports for girls are held. There are also tech clubs and social activity clubs Seniors are all very good. But yeah dont think the college is your Dream College or let's say Karan Johar college, it's just an average college with good college study and environment and decent college life.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yeah, I took the admission through WBJEE. Score a rank under 15k to easily take IT and 9k to take admission in CSE. The wbjee is much easy as compared to the JEE Mains. Study the 11 and 12 syllabi through. And do maths much nicely cause there will be separate 100 marks paper for maths and 100 marks paper for PHY and the combined. A study from the beginning and do jee mains papers and questions and also study of that level and that will be enough for you to score under 5k. But yeah 2 months before the exam re-read the 11 and 12 syllabi thoroughly. There isn't any interview it just the written exam and then counseling based on rank.

Other Applied Colleges

Haldia Institute Of Technology | B.Tech(IT)

It was very far from main city. The college has also turned anonomous.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
