Remarks
The college has multiple facilities, is clean and a good crowd with a healthier environment. The campus is bit small so there are certain things which were given up considering the space. The college is near to the station so not at all inconvenient to travel also. One of the most famous colleges of Mumbai ranked second for the field of biotechnology. It has good faculty and non-teaching staff. Probably the most sophisticated lab than any other Mumbai colleges. The admissions start from July and the process is quite simple you just have to fill the university form, the college application, provide the required documents and wait for the merit list. If your name appears on the list you provide the documents again along with the application form and pay the fees and the admission is done. Collegedunia and Mumbai university sites were used for searching this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Biotech is an emerging field. There are a lot of career options that you can do through Biotech which are quite interesting and earns you a lot of money. The student ratio is particular higher on the female's side with females being almost 25 and 10 boys so the ratio is 2:5. All the faculties are atleast MSc Qualified and appeared for certain exams and their teaching method is good while some are excellent. Term exams are after every semester so as there are 2 items in a year there are 2 terms and it sometimes is difficult to pass but depends on how one has studied.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite okay with the course. For the open category, it is somewhat 30 - 35k and for all the reserved candidates it is 8- 9k for a year. The reserved candidates also have to fill the MahaDBT form because of which they get some amount of their paid fees back. Other than this there are no as such any scholarships.
Campus Life
The annual fest Biozest is conducted every year in the month of Dec or January. Almost every book needed for studies and every other stuff is available in the library. The amenities in the Classroom include spacious benches, cameras, dlp's, Dias, desk etc. Extracurricular activities are NSS, NCC, ISR activities, DLLE activities etc. The rotary club and some Instagram handles are run by students.
