Good College with economic fees

P.E.S. MCOE is situated in Shivajinagar, which is well connected to the rest of the city. Thus, Traveling to and from the college is very easy. The college has well-furnished labs and has all the infrastructure necessary to provide good practical lab sessions, and is as good as any of the best colleges in India. For me, the teachers in P.E.S. MCOE was the USP. The teachers pay attention to every student and are very good at teaching their respective subjects. The crowd in the college is very lively and vibrant. The college is surrounded by eateries and malls, so students who wish to enjoy their college lives have a lot of choices do so. The college campus has a huge ground, which hosts a volleyball court, basketball court, cricket ground, and football ground. The college very actively supports students who wish to pursue sports and the college has had very good football and basketball teams in the past.

I was in the E&TC department. Each batch was divided into two or more classes. So individual attention to each student as possible. All the teachers have many many years of teaching experience and are some of the best teachers in Pune University. Term exams were held regularly, and those who didn't score properly were expected to re-write term exams, so as to improve their scores and understanding of the subject. This was really helpful as it helped students be fully prepared for the semester exams.

Students become eligible for campus placements starting the 7th Semester. Companies like TCS, ZENSAR, EQ Technologic regularly recruited students from P.E.S. MCOE. Back in 2015, the highest package offered was 5.5 lakhs/year. The lowest was 2.5 lakhs. On average, the package students earned was 3 lakhs per year. I had joined the college in 2011. Back then the college charged Rs. 70000 per year as fees. This was very economic. Some other lesser ranked colleges were charging Rs. 1 Lakh. Today according to the college website, the fee is Rs. 1 Lakh, in 2021. I am quite certain that this is still among the most economic engineering fees among all the colleges in Pune University. There aren't any scholarships that I know of that the college provides, but it would be wise to check from the college authorities about the same.

The College's annual fest is called "Spandan", which means "Heartbeat". The annual tech fest is called M-Pulse. These two are definitely two of the most awaited events every year for every student. M-Pule is conducted in February third week and Spandan sometime in January I think. M-Pulse and Spandan are events where all the departments come together and put on a superb show of talent and art. The college has a central library and each department has its own library, so there is no lack of abundant educational material. The college has had one of the best Cricket, Football, and Basket teams in all the colleges within the University of Pune. Sports is definitely one of the finer aspects of the college I enjoyed. Inter-departmental contests were held regularly and the rivalry between the departments was enjoyed by teachers as well. Other than sports, the college used to also ranks consistently in the top three in the annual national Robotics competition.
