BIMTECH- PGDM Marketing

While shortlisting college for my PGDM I was looking for the best-ranked college I can get with my percentile. I researched on various platforms (Shiksha.com, MBA universe, and Collegedunia) and BIMTECH seemed a really good option. Coming from a Birla college in my undergrad, I was slightly inclined towards the Birla tag, but I found it even better than what I was expecting. The whole selection process was smooth and I felt so welcomed when I went there for my Interview. The Process starts in December where you apply for the college, then if shortlisted you are called for an interview around Jan/Feb and the call letters are received by March. The college conducts an induction program before the commencement of classes which helps us to get more clarity on our vision for higher education. It really helped in choosing the domain for PGDM. The faculty is extremely good with most of them being experienced professionals in their field. The experience received here is unmatched.

The course curriculum was designed in such a way that you get an experience of all the domains of management and you get expertise in your preferred course. The exams format is in trimesters. The courses are divided in a very thoughtful manner. The faculty is very experienced and they provide you with real-life examples in all domains of business apart from the textbooks. The clubs and conduits also add to the practical aspects of learning.

Yes, the college provides many internship opportunities. Companies like EY, Gati, Adidas ABRL visit the campus. This process starts in the second trimester and continues till the third trimester till everyone gets placed.

Placement scenes are pretty good, almost everyone gets an offer. You get multiple opportunities to get placed across various industry. Marketing department gets a maximum number of placements. Companies like EY, KPMG, Mahindra, Panasonic visit the college.

The fee structure for 2015-17 was 10 lacs and Hostel+mess charges were 3 lacs. You can also opt for one trimester abroad for the same fees with just accommodation extra. The toppers of all the courses get scholarships of some amount. This is applicable to all trimesters. Financial assistance is also easily available as the college has tie-ups with several banks.

The campus is very well maintained. It is a fully residential college which helps enhance social life. There are various clubs and conduits which help students to apply their learnings in a physical space. The clubs and conduits have a well-framed and interesting selection process. The clubs and conduits have their domains spread to management, cultural and sports. Some of the clubs are, BIZMARK- Marketing club, Finwiz- Finance club, QCB- quizzing club, etc.

It is a fully residential college with beautiful and well-maintained hostels. There are options for single-seater and double seater rooms. All rooms are centrally air-conditioned and have all the useful amenities.

Yes, there was a GD, content writing on a topic given followed by PI. You can prepare for these exams with various mock interviews available online. Online reading helped a lot in preparing for the selection process. They ask some general and some technical questions based on your resume.
