Remarks

Management is not good. Rest everything is fine. Campus and studies are good.

Entrance Preview

KIITEE I scored a rank of 5000 and opted for Mechanical Engineering. The college is nearby and has a fantastic campus with international standard amenities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The exposure is excellent faculties are helpful and support you in whatever you do for the benefit of college and yourself. You will have to be disciplined as they are quite strict when it comes to that. Attendance of 75 percent is mandatory. You have extra curriculum too so if you are good at something. Do it and you can compete even Nationally.

Internships Opportunities

College provides limited opportunities in case of internship and it is quite tough to get selected in that procedure. But, they keep you posted about different companies who are about to or are giving internships so you can apply and get it done.

Placement Experience

4.5

Very nice in terms of on campus placements. Very dedicated team of members help you develop all the necessary assets needed to crack a company's test as well as other stages. Mocks are held which help you open up. Good Multinational companies come for hiring.

College Events

5

A lot of events take place from dance to football to technical showcase. Students from different colleges show up and you can compete with them and be the little bit more to achieve success. You will find something or the other going on everyday. A different section is present which particularly deals with these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is somewhat medium. It is a private institute and therefore you might just have to pay more that the government institutions. Facilities compensate for the amount you pay so basically paying the fees won't matter as you will hopefully come out with flying colours.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I haven't availed any such facility and I don't know much about it. You can check for bank facilities for loan and stuff.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is huge and beautiful. Girls hostel are a bit stricter but you won't miss a chance to have fun even if you are a girl. Everyone is seen equally. Boys are a bit notorious every college has that not to be amazed of that. Curricular activities are awesome. You might watch dramas and dance going on as you go out for evening snacks.

Hostel Facilities

3

This is the toughest question of all. Hostel administration is a bit strict and you will also get an option for AC hostels. Food all over the hostels are same and not as good as home. You will spend 2-3 days in a week eating outside. Birthday parties are not allowed but you can, be a bit cautious. Overall hostels are okay. Not something I would like to boast about.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, it is always good to be known and helpful. So keep in touch with any faculty and senior if you know one or try befriending them. They won't rag you as seniors are good.

Exam Structure

Two exams are held each semester known as the mid term and the end term exam. Mid term exams are basic 25 marks exams where you will have to score good as they reflect a lot. Next is the end term for 60 marks. Rest 15 marks are internal which comprises of assignment marks, behavior and attendance. To get a good grade keep your score above 20 in mid term and be regular and in touch with the faculties.

Admission

First you will have to appear for KIITEE i.e. the KIIT ENTRANCE EXAM. The form is available during December or January on its website and is free of cost. Then you will be called up for counselling in case you get a decent rank. Choose the available branch and you are set to go.

Faculty

4

Faculties are good. Very well educated and experienced. They won't have any problem in sharing the number so that you can contact them for help and meet them up too for clarifications of doubts. They help you in each problem so that you score nice and make the college proud.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
