Good College

The college is accredited A by NAAC. Though I have heard faculty being extremely good for other courses, I'm ensuring to comment purely on my experience. I am sure the college will change a little as the Principal has changed and surely better days are to come.

Had a good name so opted to join it. There were no entrance exams of any sort. Just 12th grade. B.Com would have assisted me in the field I was already in.

The course is pretty simple. There are no hard subjects as such. First year is a bit rough as it is filled with a few boring subjects but thats unavoidable. As MU keeps changing the curriculum, it gets hard to assess. Its well worth the fees we pay though.

No. The college does not provide internship hence cannot comment on this. It does have a placement cell though.

The college does have many corporates coming in and conducting aptitude tests and interviews. This year companies like Kotak Mahindra had come. Package averages to around 11000 per month. Selection rate is pretty low though. This was mainly because the students aren't as open or as fluent in English.

The college does have fests like Utkarsh and Visions. The college manages to attract good amount of crowd. These fests have musical performances, competitions and other activities. Never been a part of any fest as I used to be busy with work. Hence will not be commenting as it may not be as authentic as someone who has experienced it.

Fees for the courses are reasonable. B.Com is really cheap considering the whole course costed Rs. 16000 in 3 years. Practical labs cost an additional 3000 per annum from the second year if you have chosen computere. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Campus life is very casual and friendly. There is gender differences based on courses. For e.g. many girls in BA and less boys whereas more boys in BCom and less girls. There are no discrimination based on religion, color, or financial standing of a person.

Never availed the hostel service but heard it was cheap. The college does not have a hostel of its own but there are dorms nearby. College canteen is okay and there have been cases of hygiene issues. Food ie delicious none the less. The college also has a Nescafe counter.

I haven't been much in touch with any seniors or alumni of the college hence commenting on this is not possible.

Exams are usually held in the morning with no lectures on exam days. Exam pattern keeps changing based on the whims of the Great MU. We often felt like guinea pigs due to these experiments by MU. Practicals for computers were held in labs and they happened whenever the college felt like.

Faculty is pretty average. A few great professors and few below average. Unfortunately for the name that the college has, some faculty just dont match up. Teachers are friendly but office staff are utterly useless. They take up hours of our time for a job that barely takes 10 mins and were never considerate.
