Remarks

Good-It's a central government College. Bad-It's fees is high compare to other normal medical College. Admission is through NEET exam. Counseling process is done by MCC. I preferred due to good it's infrastructure and good hostel facility.

Course Curriculum Overview

Doctors are called next to God. This motivated me to join the MBBS course. One of the profession which gives you a lot of respect along with money. Our college have highly qualified faculties with 7 to 8 in each department. Our batch strength is of 100. Terms exam are conducted every 3 months. It's a bit difficult to pass.

Placement Experience

Medical College doesn't have any placements. So there is no point of talking about companies coming. After the completion of course, our college has one year rural service bond.

College Events

Name of our Annual Fest is "SURGE". It is conducted in the month of September. It includes cultural events, sport events, DJ Night etc. We have big Central library with lots of book options and journals too. Classrooms have AC.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is high as compared to all other government College in West Bengal. We have fees of 1lacs per year. Scholarship are available for students. Intetns are given good amount of stipend.

Hostel Facilities

We are provided with single room hostel. It includes one table one chair one cupboard. Meal quality is good. Hostel is affordable for all. I haven't rented any room till now.

Hostel Fee: INR 3500 per year

Admission

There is no any interview for getting admission. For getting admission, one has to qualify the medical entrance exam i.e; NEET. Admission is purely based on marks scored in that exam.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

For getting admission to medical college, one has to qualify NEET UG and secure a decent rank for the admission process. Counseling for mobs course takes place on the MCC site and based on rank, category, and preference you are allowed college. For this ESIC MEDICAL COLLEGE JOKA KOLKATA : Counseling by AQI, State quota, and IP (insure person) quota. Cutoff: it varies slightly year by year The application process is very simple, first register at the MCC site for counseling and get an allotment letter and then reach the allotted college and do the rest of the procedure asked by the college for the admission process.
