BIBS- A SHORT TRIP

BIBS had a decent record of good placement in reputed brands and had a good course structure. However the roles in which placement were given were at the very base level and below oar with minimum package. Admission process was smooth with the admission faculty. I preferred BIBS because of reasonable tution fees and good package combination. I went through many online portals regarding MBA Colleges in Kolkata which included Siksha.com

I chose MBA to learn about the market environment and structure. Faculty to student ratio was 20:1. Almost all the faculty held a Ph.d in respective subjects and had a good teaching style and interactive in sessions. The terms exam was quarterly.

From the 3rd semester placement starts and companies like Britannia, Dabur, AXIS bank, ICICI bank and many offers were made. Highest package was 750000 and lowest was 200000 with 90% of students getting placements. I plan to get my career going in a reputed MNC where I can grow and see myself in a manegerial position.

There is no annual fest held. There are some sports event. You will be able to get books in the library as per your needs. Classrooms are small and Crowded. There were certain social groups for activities including Rotaract club and grammer clubs.

My fee structure was 415000 however it rose 30000-40000 every year. I got a education loan from HDFC bank to study here and got a placement in UAE exchange in Abu Dhabi with a salary package of 750000.

There is no hostel facility available for BIBS and you have to find your own accomodation in the city and travel to come to college and do your classes.

Breaking the Glass Ceiling, Brexit, Demonetisation. Interview questions varied but mostly on the topic of where we see ourselves in the next 5years. Everyone needs to have atleast 50% in all the board examinations to be elegible for admission. I prepared for the Gd and interview by reading various topics on the internet and daily news and brushing up on my English.
