Kalyani Government Engineering College is one of the most renowned engineering colleges of west bengal whose closing rank just come after Jadavpur University. Before taking admission in any college everyone thinks about the placement of the college. I have heared that 70-80% of the students of this college get their placement. So this drove me to take admission in this college. As all know that electronics is the one of the most demanding branch nowadays so I choose electronics and telecommunication.

Actually course curriculum is good but it should be updated to match the level of the premier institutions like IIT,NIT etc. One get Industrial experience after 3rd year. Industrial exposure is not that good in this college.One should apply off campus for better industrial exposure. Faculties are good. They have rich knowledge of their subjects.

Yes, I have got some internships from internshala. one can get internships from different websites like internshala, let's intern.com etc

One generally gets their job opportunities after third year through on-campusing. our college has a very active training and placeement cell which oragnises interviews etc. our college has iipc cell which gives the internship oppotunities and resources to get internships by a monthly newsletter. Many companies like TCS,cognizant, epam, hitachi,kreeti, infosys etc companies visit our college to recruit. they generally offer 3.5-4 lakh salary packages. many students try to get placed through off campus. many students of our college had cracked big tech companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon etc through off-campus.Our alumnies are very active. they generally refer to different companies and alert us about different job opportunities.

The biggest cultural,technical and management fest of college KGEC is ESPEKTRO.it's a 4 day fest. many renowned artists come in the fest for entertaining us. all kind of events like gaming, chess, technological,quiz are there. many clubs organise their seminars. participations are quite good in these competitions. the name of freshers welcome event is plexus.students who do not stay at hostel are given a chance to stay at the hostel for 1 day. this is amazing. our college has different clubs like drawing, dance, quiz, mathematics, coding,development etc.they organize different events all over the year.

I availed Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means Scholarship. there are also many scholarship schemes like national scholarship,jagaish bose national talent search scholarhip,tution fee waiver scheme etc.

Sports facilities are quite good. every year our college organises annual sports competition. our college has a sports club which is called "Al Hambra".Wi-fi facility in college campus and hostels are quite stable. our college has a very big library.all kinds books are available. one generally can borrow books twice in a month. one should be careful about library books otherwise he will be fined. our college has all kinds of labs like computer, electronics, electrical, mechanical labs. all are well equipped.

hostel infrastructure is good. all kind of facilities including wi-fi are there.one has to share his room with 3 of their fellow batchmates. Staying at college is so fun. these are the best days of one's life. if anyone wants to stay outside the hostel, they can stay as paying guests. monthly costs for staying as paying guests are around 5000 or more which includes food & accomodation both. one just need to apply to the college authority to stay at hostel. it's very easy procedure.

I have taken WBJEE in 2017. I scored 77 marks.
