Sinhgad College - one of the best colleges from Pune University

Sinhgad Engineering College gives you good learning as well as college experience. The fees is quite high but worth studying in it's Wadgaoon campus.

Entrance Exam: MH-CET, Score : 136. This college is one of the most prestigious colleges from Pune University.

The Sinhgad college of engineering does not provide the internship facility. But if you try to get internship on your own in some company from Pune itself they allow it. I do not know whether they will allow this if you get internship opportunity outside of pune.

Placements are pretty good. Under the Sinhgad engineering college banner there are other campuses too in Pune, respective names are according to geographic location. So the placement session happens for all campuses together providing equal opportunity to students. Most of the MNC companies come for the placement session, along with small scale and medium scale companies based out of Pune and Mumbai have their placement session.

The fee structure is quite expensive but in today's scenarios it is equivalent to most of the colleges in Pune University. Again as i understand the fees also defers according to the facilities and infrastructure the college provides to students specially the placement opportunities so it is bit high but not totally reasonable.

I did not apply for any loan, so do not have much idea about it. But you can apply for EBC and get back the tuition fees, which is pretty big amount itself.

The hostel facility is good enough, very close to the college premises. The hostels are kept clean, the rooms are large enough to accommodate 2 students. The places surrounding the hostel is good with many tress, which feels fresh. Coming to the rate or price to live in the hostel, it is quite expensive but worth living there. The food quality is okay not up to the mark.

I do not have many connections with alumni, but have seen few alumni who are working in IT industry convincing their company to conduct the placement session in our campus. So i can definitely say that some alumni are helpful.

The exam structure is according to the Pune University. Pune University decides the exam pattern and structure for each semester. The exams are kind of tough according to the most of the candidates that appear from this University. Even few companies that are aware of this exam pattern of Pune University keep their percentage criteria slightly lower than for other Universities.

The faculty of this college is good, well aware of the technical knowledge and suitable to teach subjects according to the need of the exam pattern as well as according to the gaining knowledge. The courses and the exams from the Pune university are known as somewhat difficult.
