Remarks

Bad- I would say, Infrastructure but they are improving relentless. While concluding i would say, if your are an average student, didn't make it to NIT's and IIT's. With it suffix, VIIT is also one of the IIT to turn your life.

Entrance Preview

It was direct second year admission, yeah I was diploma pass out. I completed my diploma in EnTC with Aggregate 81.31% in 2012. After Diploma, we still have a time gap of around 3 months. During this 3 months, I had to cast an eye over list of engineering college in Pune. So, My benchmark was Branch i.e EnTC, In and around College Area and Placement statistics. VIIT was one of those which i filtered it out with around 7-8 others colleges. Now the point came, whether my aggregate % are well enough to get into college. So, I started statistical analysis with previous cut off of each college, Now my list filtered it out with only 4 colleges. After this, I went to all those 4 college, had words with students and everyone suggested to go for VIIT. Reason behind opting this college was the placement. Yes, VIT(2nd Top College of Pune) and VIIT shares same placement. Your talent won't be restricted.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As affiliated to University of Pune, One of the best premier University, you don't have to assess the course curriculum. As concerned with research, Ample opportunity! just work hard and get yourself prepared to catch it. College also holds many ongoing projects of different research center like TIFR and ISRO.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, VIIT do provide internship in respective domain areas. Experience- Excellent Stipend- It depends, where u joined as intern. Again It all depends on the student and power of his/her knowledge.

Placement Experience

4.5

Admirable Placement. Yes! but provided that you have over passed the placement criteria. Package offered was: Domain company- 2.5 lacs onwards, IT/services- 2.8 lacs (min) - 13 lacs (max) Avg would be 3.5 lacs, Company came to campus- Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Barclays, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Principal Global Services, TIFR, NSE, Tata Motors Ltd., Cybage Ltd., KPIT Cummins Infosystems Pvt. Ltd., L & T Infotech Ltd., Persistent System Ltd. many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During 2012- to 2015 following was the fee structure- 2012-2013 - Rs 84000, 2013-2014 - Rs 98000, 2014-2015 - Rs 1.03 lac. As this college is private, every other have same fee structure in Pune. If u have constraint on fee structure, Government college would be better.

Fees and Financial Aid

No comments as i don't have any idea. I don't support flawed review. If want to avail such, then u may get into contact with management easily and can clarify accordingly.

Campus Life

3.5

As such i did not noticed about gender ratio, but i would say it's 1:1. Moving on to extracurricular competitions, for robotics- ROBOCON is national level event. Student also do participate in university level debates, different sports. Campus life is awesome if u make yourself involved in it. Student Diversity has increased, this will give exposure to new tastes and experiences. Politics and economics status don't make impact on college management.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I did not opted for Hostel facilities, so i don't have any personal experience. Although, I can review. yes! Its sharing and it is around 3-4 km away from college. Bus service are provided. If Overall considered, i would rate it on average. In case, if you are going for PG's and Flat near by college then average rentals would be 5000/- (considering quality standards).

Alumni/Alumna

College do have a strong alumni network. VIIT do call alumni for meetings and do involves them in various others activities. On their end, they are very active but again it comes to alumni for their response.

Exam Structure

As this college is not autonomous, leave this to university of Pune. No they don't leave you with hectic day, but also not as chilled. You have to be on time, complete your practicals, submission. It is quite comfortable to get into flow smoothly. Also they do conduct test series, mock viva's and many more to get you prepare.

Faculty

4.5

Experienced with more than 5 years and extensive knowledgeable. Teach with a variety of strategies. Get you to do the practicals and projects, Helpful, Supportive, even you can sort out your personal problem. Timely uses Test-Taking Strategies. I would be no one to assess my teachers, above are my perspectives.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
