Remarks
It is one of the best Government Engineering Colleges in West Bengal. Total Course fee of the course is quite nominal as it is a Government Engineering College. Placement of this college was very good when I was joining this college. So I chose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our college is under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad university of technology.In every semester one has to give 2 internal exams & 2 assignments all of 25 marks.One has to have 75% of attendence to be eligible to sit for final examinations.Final examinations are of 70 marks.Our college has IIP cell which gives monthly newsletter of different internship opportunities & resources. After third year one gets internships and job offers. Otherwise a student can apply off campus for internships & placements. I would say faculties are good. They have very good knowledges of their respective domains.

I got a internship as a Web devoloper in a startup company.I got this internship through linkedin. My salary was 5 thousands per month.
Placement Experience
Placement of branches like CSE, IT, ECE is good but for core branches it's not that good. Companies like Tcs, Cognizant, Wipro visit our campus. Average salary they offer is 3.5-4.5 lakhs per annum. They offer maximum 7-8 lakhs per annum salary to those canditates who are good in progarmming. Alumnies actively help our training and placement cell for finding job opportunities. They give referrels for service based companies and big tech companies. Many students who are good in competitive programming crack FAANG companies (like Microsoft, google etc).
College Events
The biggest Techno Management fest of our college is Espektro. It is a multiday event. The name of our freshers welcome event is Plexus. It is a 1 day event. Different hostels organize their own annual days events. Our college has different clubs. They organize their events throughout the year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not get any scholarship because my family income did not match the eligible criterias. But my friends got different scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, National Scholarship,Oasis scholarship etc.
Campus Life
Our college has table tennis board, big ground for outdooor sports. Our college has a club namely "Al hambra" which organizes annual sports events. These consists different events like 100 meter run, relay, short-put,go-as-you like etc. Wifi facilities are good in hostels. Library is quite old. So it has a large collection of books of different subjects. The library has sufficient number of books.You can borrow books in 2 weeks. All kinds of labs are there. Wi-fi facility in the computer lab is stable. Facilities and equipments in labs are good.
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 hostels.Acharya prafulla chandra roy Hall for 1st years boys. 1st year days were full of fun.These days were the most memorable days of my life.All the first years stay together. 2nd to 4th year boys generally stay at Raja rammohan roy hall & vidyasagar chatrabas. Vidyasagar Chatrabas is situated outside the campus. Pritilata chatrinibas for 1 st to 4 th year girls. Hostels rooms are quite good. One generally shares room with 3-4 more students. Those who don't want to stay at hostels, they generaly stay as paying guests. Average monthly rentals generally ranges between 5-7 thousands nowadays.
