Remarks

The Hansraj college is one of the most premier institution of India. The faculty of the college is edutaining. The teachers are very friendly and supportive. The campus is lush green. The major factor that led me to choose the college is it's existence in the north campus. The north campus of Delhi University has a lot of exposure and opportunities. The opportunities provided here helps the students to find there dream and vision. The process for the admission is fairly simple. Students need to register themselves under the portal of Delhi University. As the colleges releases the cut off students who are eligible can opt for the college they wish to join. The alumni base of college is extra-ordinary and diversified. The crowd of the college is really good. U can find out the like minded people and visionaries around. The college has a great opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course I chose is B.com Hons. The reason I chose this course was pretty simple. The course is a business-oriented course that develops the student's business skills and provides in-depth knowledge of the field of commerce. Students pursuing this course a have an advantage if they want to pursue Chartered Accountancy side-by-side. I am pursuing for CA as well. So this course is the best fit for me. The faculty of the college is really renowned and helpful and supportive. The faculty : student ration is nearly to 1:100. There are mid terms and end terms conducted in a semester. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate which is focused majorly to think beyond the limits.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students after 4th semester are eligible for the campus placements. Many MNC's and domestic companies come to recruit the students. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Bain Capability Network, Boston Consulting Group to hire the graduates. The highest package offered has been INR 31 LPA by Codenation. The median salary is 7,00,000. The percentage of students getting placed is really high around 70-80%. After completing my degree I'm planning to continue my CA as professional career and getting placed in the Big-4 firms.

College Events

4.5

The life at the college is really impressive. The annual fest held is named as CONFLUENCE. All the societies here conduct various programs and events. The program is complimented with the star performances of the celebrity. There's an array of exciting events, cultural presentations, competitions and stalls. The program is conducted in the month of March. The expansion college library is situated in the centre of the university. The Library has study spaces with a mix of quite individual and group-study areas. The Library provides a book-bank facility too for lending text books to needy & deserving students for a period of one year at a stretch. Internet facility is now available for students inside the library premises itself. There are many societies in the Hansraj college which are managed and run by the students. There are almost societies related to every field be it - dance, music, poem, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship. There are many social groups which engages students in social welfare.

Campus Life

4

I have taken admission in the batch of 2020-23. we have online classes going on due to which we do not have the chance of visiting the college. But after talking to seniors it is pretty clear that the infrastructure really good.

Admission

The college accepts the admission on the basis of the 12th board exams. The college releases the cut off similar to other Delhi university colleges. The considers the best-4 subject marks according to the criteria they have. The cut off for B.com Hons. in 2020 for general category was 97.75%. The colleges releases on an average 5 cut off lists.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
