Shubhada Barge.'s Review On Fergusson College, Pune

It's a college I've been looking for. Its good. Probably the best college in pune for my course.

Syllabus and Exam structure is relevant to the UPSC exam as most of the students opted for my course are civil service aspirants. Exam fairly driven in warm atmosphere. There are many more departments for the students who are seeking to learn industry specific knowledge.

I don't know much about the internship or recruitment. But I've heard a lot about the placements from economics department as I am gonna opting for economics. There are much more opportunities for economics graduate student from our college. Many MNC's like amazon, fliocart also the Infosys visit our college for placement of economics graduates.

When it comes to festivals I only see for our college. So many festivals happen in our college. I've been a part of many of such like 'Sankalp Vyakhyanmala', 'Great Bhet competition'. N these festivals and competitions are useful for the student any stream. So the number of participants enthusiastically opt for the festivals is such a huge.

Last year, (FYBA) our fee was about to 10000rs. For the weaker section there was some concession in fees but for that income certificate or caste certificate required to make sure the student is really eligible for the concession or not. The payment accepted by online. And from then no additional fee charged in a whole year. College provide transparency in fee as it gives a receipt with detailed fees amount and the purpose.

I've not opted for any scholarship as I dont have much information about it. But college offers scholarship for the students from backward class also the students with great intellectual but financially weaker.

Gender ratio is balanced an I am very glad about it. There are many extra curricular activities happen in our college. Students from all across the country can be seen in the college. This shows the diversity of the college n its a proud thing. There is no discrimination by race or economic status. Equal value to all the students in the college.

No, I've opted for some local pg as the college hostel was far from my class. As it is in the main area of Pune I had to pay 5000 rsper month as a rent. And 3000rs per month for mess. My PG had adequate facilities. It had geyser, freeze, enough space for bed and study table. Overall it was good.

All the staff is helpful. From trachers to cleaners all are very kind in nature. Seniors are cooperative.

I am UPSC aspirant and so I chose arts for my graduation. And as per information I got pune is the best city in maharashtra for study of UPSC and so the Ferguson college. First of all merit list of the college declared nd my name displayed on list as I wanted. 25th of June was the admission date n our college started on 1st August.

There are 6 lectures in my course. All teachers are we educated and most importantly well knowledged. I can surely say that no student would return from our teachers with unsolved query. Teachers give extra time apart from lecture for any type of problems and try to guide very well.
