Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is updated to keep up with pace of constantly changing technologies. There is 1faculty for every 2-5 students ( depending on department). Most of the faculties are doctorate holding the PhD. There are 2 class test(30marks )and one final exam (100marks converted to 70) in each subject in each semester. The passing ratio varies from department to department. But the curriculum forces to enhance the concepts and more of subjective questions are asked.
Placement Experience
The placement scenerio is also great. From the final year that means the 7th semester, the placement session starts. Lots of big companies visit here for campus recruitment. At our batch the highest package is 50lpa and the average package is at around 8-10lpa. The profiles depend on the companies.(e.g. GET for MSIL) Almost 80% of eligible students are placed in different companies. I'm currently placed in MSIL.
College Events
The campus life of JU is absolutely amazing. This is the place where you can find the brilliant minds in every aspects.There is SANSKRITI, the annual cultural fest of JU, which is one of the biggest fest of eastern India. And the tech fest is called SRIJAN. A lot of sports events like ARENA & PARODORHE are organised here. The common room has the facility of indoor sports and the big ground and a basketball court are there for outdoor activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It charges the least tuition fee among India compared to other top institutes. Students can get financial assistance e.g. scholarship from the administration (Tequip) by providing necessary documents. It also has the cheap charged hostel facility. Almost 80% of the eligible candidates are placed in campus placement.
Admission
Only one exam have to be cracked for admission in UG course, that is WBJEE. The top ranked students upto 3000( for general gmr) can get a opportunity to get into JU.
