Remarks

IITs in India are the best place for pursuing B.Tech. It has the excellent placements records, my cousin brother also studied computer science and engineering from here and he got placed in a top IIT. So when I got chance to choose my college, I choose the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

Professors in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course is well-defined for each branch, and the latest things are also included. You can do your academic research under the supervision of any professor.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 750000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are always excellent here, and this year also. About 3 students bagged a salary package of 1.5 crores per annum, and the average salary package offered was around 17 LPA. 70% of students got an internship in some of the top companies like Adobe, Amazon, JP Morgan, Sprinkler. The top roles are in Software, Finance.

College Events

The campus life is the best part about this college. IIT Roorkee hold Thomso and Cognizance which are among the largest festivals in all of Asia. IITR is home to a large number of cultural clubs-Dance, Music, Dramatics, Debating, Media, magazines, and many more. The campus is beautiful, with greenery and fresh air of rural India, you are definitely away from pollution filled cities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course (BAMS) is very good and interesting. In initial days it is little bit difficult to understand the concepts but teachers explains very well that you will get the concepts as Ayurveda is a different & ancient science . You will get very much of written work No clinical postings and OPD postings. I think it should be implemented

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

I chose this course due to my own interest. This course is relevant enough to prepare the person to solve real-life applications and adapt thinkingness and knowledge. It would be helpful if they use visual content to teach it will be helpful. The frequency and timing of exams are perfect according to the level of the paper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have seen students who have studied from here have achieved many things in life some of them became professors here. Some are doing work abroad. According to me something there should be a change like having more practicals if you have taken subjects like IT, cs,bca or any other practical subjects book knowledge is also compulsory but by doing practicals we can learn more easily. Exams are normal for 1st year but as you are going higher difficulties will come.

GREAT COLLEGE

Admission:

The entrance exam is held on June 1 every year. IIMs .silly running. The test is for admission to all IIMs including IISK Shikesh, Delhi, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. After selection, you just have to visit college for filling the form.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
