JUIT- Heaven on Earth

The Jaypee University of Information Technology is an esteemed organization that is known for its disciplined and well-equipped with knowledgeable staff, and an extremely well-facilitated library with an exhaustive collection of Journals, books and publications, the overall surrounding of the college is extremely tranquil and a great place for an individual to focus on studies. There are a lot of opportunities for joining technical as well as non-technical clubs and committees which helps in overall personality development. The hostel facilities comprise well-ventilated hostel rooms, a gym, a TV room and a hygienic mess, providing a sumptuous vegetarian meal. My admission was based on the merit list prepared based on the 12th board results. JUIT's official webpage with 360 degree view of the college and virtual campus tour giving minute details about the college and facilities, helped me in taking the decision to go ahead with this university.

I always had a keen interest in Technology, hence Computer Science seemed like an ideal choice, hence opted for the same. The faculty of the Jaypee University of Information Technology is extremely knowledgeable with a doctorate degree, there's a 1:60 faculty: student ratio generally, which enables the faculty to pay close attention to each and every student and cater to their doubts. The entire breakdown of 100 marks is into two categories, internal and external, where 75 marks are further divided into three sub-categories, namely, T1 which comprises 15 marks, T2, which comprises 25 marks, and finally T3 which comprises a total of 35 marks. Apart from this, the internal is 25 marks.

A six-week-long internship is mandatory for every student after their 6th Semester, now this internship could be with any company, under any role, it just needs to be relevant and Industrial Training can also be done.

Students become eligible to sit for campus placements from the 7th Semester(final year). There are a variety of companies that come for the placement drive like, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Z-Scalar, etc. The highest package from our College has been 30LPA and the average ranges from 7-8LPA. Almost 100% of CSE students who sit-in the placement drive get placed. My plan is to get placed in a product-based company.

The fee structure of JUIT is 2.2 lakh per annum, Scholarships are also available for students from an army family background. I'm currently in the sixth semester and my placements will begin the next semester. Apart from that, the placement rate for CSE is extremely high, taking past records into consideration.

College life at the JUIT campus is immensely lively, the tranquil environment, with beautiful weather, is a sight for sore eyes. There's an Annual Fest called Le-Fiestus which is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm on a large scale. Tech fest which is conducted annually is called Murious. There's an exhaustive collection of books and journals in the library. There are a lot of extra-curricular activities to choose from, like, dance clubs, music clubs, Photography clubs etc. There is a JUIT Youth Club, which is a student's body.

Hostel rooms are extremely well-ventilated with a very comfortable bed, a study table, and a cupboard. The quality of mess meals are top-notch level, it is very healthy and there's a lot of variety in terms of food, the menu is all vegetarian.
