JUIT: A revelation

The college is situated in the mountains which is a very peaceful and perfect place to learn. While choosing the college I researched on various websites, read Quora reviews, and watched YouTube videos about JUIT which played an important part in choosing this college. The Admission process consisted of visiting the Main JIIT Noida campus counseling process where we were allotted the course and college. I was very excited to begin my college journey in Himachal Pradesh. JUIT is known as one of the most beautiful colleges across the country and it is true. Not just the infrastructure and the environment, but the faculty, administration, and the people, everyone is very welcoming and helpful. I'm glad I'm part of the JUIT campus!

The course curriculum is very precise and inclusive. It consists of every available resource that we need to learn about regarding our course, mine being Computer Science, I've especially really benefitted from the tutorials that we have with our faculty. The doubts and questions are resolved thoroughly. Qualification of the teachers are quite good and although the teaching method is using slides and presentation, that is resolved using active interaction done by teachers and students. I chose this course because I'm a tech enthusiast and I want to work on improving the tech sector in our country in the future. Working on making that future happen at JUIT with the faculty and great resourceful library has helped me a lot.

Our college has tie-ups and MOUs with various different companies such as Internshala, clarivate Analytics, and any others. Therefore internship opportunities available are pretty good. We need to fill up a training diary after completing our internship or summer training where a viva is conducted by the faculty.

Placements are pretty good. Companies that offer greater than 6 LPA come in the month of august during your 7th sem, so you need to start the preparation from semester 5th at least. Companies like Amazon, Zscaler, ZS Associates, Cognizant, Infy, and many more visit the campus.

The fees per year are close to 3.5 LPA inclusive of hostel fees. But during these struggling times of Covid, the fees have been reduced per semester by 20%. There are certain scholarships available based on how well you're doing in your course.

I'm involved in TIEDC, the entrepreneurship community, and the ACM, tech club along with Jaypee Youth club's literary and debate club. Suffice to say, clubs and communities are immensely active, and getting involved with these will provide you with myriads of opportunities that will help you in your future career a lot.

The hostels are pretty good. Tuck shops are available which have all kinds of resources you need or any eatables too. This is exclusively present in only the Girls' hostel. We also have a vending machine that helps in midnight cravings for food during exams. The quality of the meals is absolutely great. My favorite is the chole bhature every Wednesday and gulab jamun on Thursdays!
