College Placement

JUIT was one of the best colleges for which I could opt for. The admission process in JUIT is really simple. We can apply either from the Noida campus or directly from the Solan campus either online or offline through the official website juit.ac.in. Admission usually takes place after the result of JEE Mains is declared in the month of May- June. This college provides really good placements. There are almost 150+ companies that arrive on our campus for on-campus placements and almost 90% of students get placed in well-established companies. Rest 10% of students either go for higher studies or opt for M.Tech in JUIT itself.

Though JUIT offers many courses, I opted for Computer Science Engineering /B. Tech because I had an interest in this field. I talked to my seniors before selecting the college and they provided me with a lot of information about the department and I found it really interesting and helpful. There is a good faculty: student ratio. There are approximately more than 20-25 faculty members just for the CSE department who are available for us even after college hours either on phone or WhatsApp . Some faculty live within the campus, so it is possible for students to reach out to them even on holidays if there is some serious issue. Most of the faculty are having a PhD. degree and are highly qualified. When it comes to teaching, they put their efforts and time to clear our doubts.

College provides us with a list of companies where we can apply for internships and it's our call whether we have that many amounts of skills or not. The college always tries to support us in each and every manner. There are sessions regarding internships/ placements conducted by our TnP Cell. College makes sure we have the required amount of projects which are needed for placement.

From 7th sem, we are eligible to sit for the placements. Almost 150+ companies visit our campus. Some of the top companies are Amazon, ZS , ZScalar, Infosys, Wipro, TCS. Last year's highest package was 30 lakhs by Amazon as a SDE. 90% of students get placed and the rest 10% opt for higher studies. I would like to go for placement in an established company.

College charges approximately 90,000/- tution fees per semester. This might sound a bit higher but all of this gets compensated when we get a placement. College provides an opportunity of placement right from the beginning of the 4th year and it goes till the end of the whole year, so we have an entire 1-year company coming up. College does provide with some scholarship.

Annual fest is called as Le Fiestus which is conducted in April and the technical fest called as Murious is conducted in the month of December. Both of the fests are conducted on a huge level with a lot of crowd coming up to indulge in the fest and showing up their skills. Our lRC is composed of more than 20000 books. LRC covers 3 floors which is a very huge space. We are allowed to sit on any floor. There is an abundance of books, journals, research papers, magazines in our LRC. Our classrooms are composed of projectors, whiteboards, high-quality speakers. So it is possible for each and every student to listen and see what is going in the entire lecture theatre.

I must say, this college provides you with some best hostels. This college is situated in Himachal so it gives you an aesthetic feel every time. The mess is something where we can eat unlimited quality and hygienic food 3 times a day, which I can assure you is one of the best parts of JUIT. Parents do not need to worry about food, accommodation facilities at all. During the time of admission, you need to fill a form for an opting hostel.

There is an input of approximately 400 students in the CSE department and there is a lot of crowds who is eager to take admission in the college. So I think there are no such criteria but you need to perform well in your JEE Mains or 12th class in order to be on the top.
