Bimtech is a home away from home

BIMTECH is the best college in the NCR region, it has a lush green campus and gives many opportunities for a student's cognitive development. The admission process was very smooth and well organized. We were asked to sit in an auditorium where our written test was conducted, it good experience. I chose this college because of the brand name and I had heard a lot of good things about how experienced the faculty is. I researched about it on Quora, MBA universe, and Collegedunia, and also approached alums and seniors who helped me make the right choice. Greater Noida is not a safe place but the college makes sure they provide a safe environment. The only con I believe is that the fees are a bit steep.

The course curriculum and faculty are the best one could get. They have years of industry experience and classroom teaching is not done the typical way, case studies and real-life incidents are discussed. One faculty teaches a class of around 60 students, being a marketing student I can say it has been a very insightful experience. The term exams are aligned with previous years' papers, so if one is attentive in class and studies with the help of previous years' papers it is easy to score well.

Mostly unpaid internships are offered, but the tasks and profiles offered to provide good learning opportunities. The faculty and CCR provide guidance to all the students to get the right profile and teach the students the right way to approach the tasks and projects. The institute has established relations with corporate and put a lot of effort into bringing placements.

Many good brands namely, Aditya Birla Fashion Line, Maruti Suzuki, KPMG, Marsh come for placements. Internship opportunities are a little limited and the student has to work hard to stay in top 20% to get placed with a good package. Good number of profiles are offered, but with limited choices. Many companies recruit students in double digits.

The fees are a little high and the ROI is less. They award a lot of scholarships namely Shriyut B.K. Birla admission scholarship on the basis of CAT scores and scholarships on basis of academic scores. They encourage the students to perform well and are ready to help financially.

The library has a lot of study material, books, and journals. They also have updated articles by Harvard Business Review. We are updated with new additions in the library via email. There is a court for many sports like basketball, table tennis, badminton, and cycles that can also be issued to ride around on the campus. All the clubs and conduits are run by students with mentors to guide the students through everything.

PGDM girls have individual rooms and are provided with all amenities just a call away. The mess is just downstairs and the menu is decided by the students themselves. They provide healthy meals, have very friendly staff to serve the food, and make sure we feel at home. There are heaters for winters, and solar panels powered hot water.

We were asked to pick up topics in the PI and discussed our views on the given topic. They were also keen on understanding our views on the economy and other interests. They tested our written abilities and conducted a very constructive GD/PI with ample time to discuss and come to a conclusion mutually.
