XIMB accepts scores of CAT, XAT, GMAT. Apart from this, they have a separate exam XGMT exclusively for admission to the college. XIMB is located in the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. Courtesy to it being 32+ years old it has a very strong Alumni base and carries a legacy with itself. The batch size of the college stands at around 350 students. However, the quality of education or the placements doesn't get impacted by the same.

The course remains the same for all the first-year students with 3 trimesters per year. This is to provide the students with an in-depth knowledge of all the topics and subjects. The students get a choice to select the subjects of their choice in the second year. Specialization is decided based on the maximum number of subjects chosen from each domain. The decision to choose a subject is usually base on the faculty taking the subject and the feedback of the seniors. The faculty apart from teaching from the textbooks follow case-based teaching. There are marks allocated for Class participation, exams, quizzes, and assignments.

The internship opportunities of the college are also great. The majority of the students go ahead with paid internships. Apart from this, the students are provided with recurring opportunities for Live projects, internships every now and then.

The college ensures that everyone gets placed. The Placements are decent across all the domains. The average salary and median salary of the college remains around 15 lacs and the highest domestic salary is around 26 lacs. The majority of the batch's package remains between 12-16 lacs.

The fees are towards the higher end. After the inclusion of mess and accommodation fees, the overall fees get increased by around 2 Lacs approximately. There is not much of an opportunity for a scholarship. However, there are several Live projects, internship opportunities that are opened for the students while they are on campus. Additionally, the Final placements are also good at the college.

XIMB has committees which the students can get into. They have a wide range of Core, Functional, and Interest committees which the student can opt for. Joining any of the committees surely helps the students to expand their horizons and learn a lot while adding a few pointers to their CV as well. Apart from the committee activity, they're various, conclaves, competitions, business meets, fests held. The infrastructure of the college is pretty good and with the residence education set up the peer, learning space gets opened even better. Furthermore, the annual fest XPression is one of the major college fests in the East.

The college has a very good facility for accommodation. They provide a mess facility as well providing 4 meals per day to the students. Apart from this, they have other eateries inside the campus too. The registration process is also very hassle-free and doesn't take too much time the Hostel fees are paid along with the Program fee and mess fees are paid once one reaches the campus.

The students clearing the cutoff for CAT, XAT, GMAT, or XGMT go ahead with GD, wherein a group of 8-10 students are given topics that may be abstract, relating to current affairs, etc. This is not an elimination round. So, post the Group discussion a Personal Interview round is conducted with three faculty on the panel. The questions for the same may vary from one's work ex to previous educational qualification subjects to current affairs.
