XIMB

XIMB is one of the best B schools in India. It holds a hundred percent placement record over previous years. As my home state is Odisha, I thought of completing my studies over here. Also I connected with my seniors who are alums of the institute. They also recommended the same. Looking at the curriculum and placement scenarios I choose XIMB. I appeared X-GMT and cleared the cutoff, then it was followed by Group discussion, Writing ability test, and Personal Interview. I used to follow pagalworld before my admission, as the admission team was very active over there.

I choose MBA in Business Management because during my undergraduate studies I found that this is what I will love to do as a career. This course gives a complete idea about the business and how to run it. The faculty-student ratio is also very high. All the faculties are very highly qualified, many of them have acted as visiting professors to numerous colleges in India and abroad. The faculties follow different teaching and evaluation methods. it's completely subjective depending on the professor himself. The exams are not that easy. It needs a lot of hard work and patience to clear all the exams.

A lot of big companies offer their internships from XIMB with good stipends and packages. Various roles are offered such as market research, consulting, analysts, etc. Students are also allowed to pursue internships out of campus on their own. there are no such restrictions.

There are two placement processes.One being the summer internship process and the second one is the final placement process. The college takes pride in boasting its hundred percent placement record. A lot of companies visit the campus for the placement processes and a good number of offers are made to the students.

The course fee is taken in two installments. one in the first year that is 10,50,000 and in the second year it is 9,50,000. This may vary over the period of time. The fees are not hiked in a rapid fashion in any way. The college has tie-ups with many banks that provide easy and hassle-free loans at a very low rate of interest. As I am in the first year of my college I will appear for my final placements next year.

The life at the campus is mesmerizing, it's as beautiful and hectic like they mention in movies and books. The college has many clubs and committees. As it is a complete residential program, we have a closed campus. The campus has all the facilities and the hostel and classrooms are pretty neat and good. The whole college is student-driven. The college has many clubs completely run by the students themselves.

The hostel rooms are provided on a single room or twin sharing basis.Many halls of residences have attached lat baths. Washing machines are standard. The mess provides good food and the quality is great. The food quality stays top-notch all around the year. The hostel is allotted on a random basis considering the availability and demand. As it is a completely residential program, there is no provision of staying outside in PG.

The college accepts admissions and scores of many different tests like CAT, XAT, X-GMT, etc. The candidates have to clear the cut-offs. then they are called for admission processes. this is followed by a group discussion and Writing ability test and finally a personal interview like the other premier colleges. I prepared in advance of two months for the GD, WAT, and PI. I used to stay updated with the current affairs and News all around.
