Remarks
Some good thing about the college is their legacy of 33 years & brand value. Some bad things are extremely high course fee of 20.3 lakhs/2 years (& this is only the course fee excluding hostel, mess & your own expenses) w.r.t the colleges of same tier & high batch strength of 360. The high batch strength means higher competitions for summer & final placements; which can be daunting many a time. So decide accordingly. Regarding the entrance exams, the college accepts scores of CAT, XAT, GMAT & X-GMT (their own entrance exam) & the GD-PI- WAT process happens mostly in February-march. You can refer to XIMB's official pagalguy groups for more info on this.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good & the faculty-student is ratio is around 1:15. All the faculties are highly qualified such as PHDs. In the first year, you'll be getting the chance to learn about all the subjects & in 2nd year you can choose your specialization from the 4 specializations offered by the college. Regarding exams, every subject will have end terms at the end of the course along with various quizzes, presentations,s, etc.
Internships Opportunities
Though the college achieves 100% placements for all the available candidates; but the problem over here is the high batch size i.e 360 so sometimes some people don't get their preferred role in internships. But otherwise, the summer placements are okay.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fee of the BM course is 20.3 lakhs which is really high w.r.t the other colleges in the same tier. It amounts to around 22 lakhs if we add the hostel & mess fees. You'll get loans from all the nationalized banks to pay the fees. Regarding campus placements, the insti. achieves 100% placements every year in the final placements. No scholarship is offered from the college, so you've to bear the total cost by yourself.
Campus Life
Expressions are the annual cultural event of XIMB. It is generally conducted in the month of November & it is a 3-day mega event. Regarding the library, it is boasted with thousands of books along with many reputed journals which is very helpful for us. There is a total of 19 clubs & committees which the students can be a part of based on their interest.
Hostel Facilities
Here hostel is mandatory i.e you've to stay in the hostel irrespective of your location. There are many hostels inside the campus for both boys & girls such as GR-1, GR-2, Studio, Cenderate, etc. GR 1 is the oldest hostel among all & is known for its legacy. Every hostel has its own merits & problems.
Interview Experience
There will be 3 rounds after you clear your written exam. They are GD-PI-WAT. The rounds at all other major cities of the country in the month of Feb.-March. GD topics are normally based on CA, economics-related issues & sometimes abstract too. So you need to be prepared for the issues for these aspects. WAT topic is the same as GD i.e you need to write on the same topic that you've discussed in the GD. For PI, for freshers do prepare for some subjects in your undergrad as you'll be asked based on that. For works people, know about your work well & also prepare for 1 favorite subject of yours from undergrad. You might get some questions on that.
