I took KERALA entrance exam. My Rank was 12000. The college had a good reputation among self financing colleges and it was rated among top 3 self financing colleges of kerala.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was very vast and touched almost all the main areas of Electrical Engineering. The Electives were so carefully chosen, important and carefully incorporated. Electives were chosen from different areas and we got to explore different aspects of engineering.
Internships Opportunities
That is the main drawback of the college that the college does not provide internship programs, but rather they provide entrepreneurship possibilities and incubation centres for such establishments.
Placement Experience
The placements are Computer based only and the big names comes frequently like TCS and IBS. The placement procedures are standard, conventional and boring. Spaces are available for different types of screening. The director herself take care of all the organisational preparations.
College Events
Every festival, irrespective of the religion, caste and creed are celebrated and different events are organised to celebrate the same. Onam and Christmas festivals are organised with games and competitions. The college day and the inter college fests are grand and extravagant.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little on the expensive side for the management and NRI seats. And as for the government seats, the fee structure is same in all colleges. While I was in college, it was 35000 per year for Government seats and 75000 for the management seats.
Fees and Financial Aid
As far as I am concerned no scholarship or loans are available for students or faculty. It would have been good for poor and brilliant students to pursue their dream career.
Campus Life
The campus life was bland, as it was mainly academics and only a little extra curricular in every which way. For a person who is very much interested in sports as well as studies, It was interestingly dull for me. All the extra curricular activities that are organised are based on academics such as Robotics workshops, engineering workshops and the college dont even have a good sports team except for a basketball team.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is weak and I came to know about the alumni meeting through my teacher who is a good friend. I think alumni meetings should be conducted every year and events should be conducted.
Exam Structure
3 sessionals which are clearly placed and covering equal portions from curriculum. 2 exams per day can be hectic and tiresome but it creates less tension as the exams get over soon. Lab exams are very comfortable as the labs are spacious and well put up.
Faculty
Well experienced and interested in teaching faculty heads the department and the young and upcoming faculty learn from them and grow up to be good. Teachers thrive to bring up the best in us and is happy to be helping and are so cooperative. Best students of the college happen to join the college as lecturers.
