Remarks
Some good aspects of the college are the legacy & brand value of 33 years & the alumni base which will help me in the future. Some bad aspects of the college are the huge batch size of 360; due to which there is more competition for the good roles in the summer & final placements. Also, the really high course fee of 20.3 lakhs for the 2 years (remember it is only the course fee) w.r.t the colleges of the same tier is a disadvantage for the college. The admission process includes the GD-PI-WAT round after the written exams & the rounds happen in the month of Feb.-Mar.& reason for choosing was that it was my best convert; so I joined it. You can also refer to various pagalguy groups for information.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good & the faculty & student ratio is 1:15. The case-based methodology is used here to teach us. All the faculties are highly qualified i.e PHDs & some are even more qualified. Regarding exams, the end term happens for all the subjects at the end of each trimester. Apart from that, bi-weekly or tri-weekly quizzes happen for almost all subjects. Clearing those exams is not much difficult if you've listened carefully in the class & revised them in time. Some faculties are good & some are bad too.
Internships Opportunities
Some major recruiters coming to the campus for the summer internship process are Tata Steel, TCS, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, CapG, Cognizant etc. Many other startups also come to the campus for recruitment. The college is able to place all the available candidates for summers. But sometimes due to the large batch size, some people don't get their desired profile. The majority of companies offer roles in the field of Sales & marketing, some offer roles in finance also.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total course fees are 20.3 lakhs & if you add hostel & mess fees; it becomes nearly 22 lakhs (your own expenses are extra for the 2 years) which is really huge w.r.t the colleges of the same tier. There is no scholarship provided by the college or the corporates. So you've to bear all the costs by yourself. Regarding loans, you'll get loads for your fees from all the banks out there. Regarding campus placements, the college achieves 100% placements every year; so you'll get a job from here.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called 'expressions' which happens in the month of November & it is a 3 days mega event. Apart from that, many other small functions also happen throughout the year. regarding classrooms, they're well equipped with A/C & projectors. The library hosts thousands of books along with access to many reputed journals which can be very helpful. There are a total of 19 clubs & committees that's there; which the students can be part of based on their interest & all the committees are student driven.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is compulsory here as it is a fully residential course; so the regd. happens along with the admission & no separate regd. is needed. There are many hostels inside the campus for both boys & girls namely GR1, GR2, cenderate, studio, RMH etc. The food in the mess is good too. The menu is changed every month & the quality of the food is good too. Apart from the mess, there are some eateries inside the campus also from where you can have food.
Interview Experience
The selection process consists of 3 rounds i.e GD-PI-WAT after you clear the written test & the processes happen in various cities across the country in the month of Feb.-March. The GD topics include topics from CA, some economics related topics & sometimes some abstract topics too. So the aspirants must be prepared for that. Also WAT topic is the same as the GD topic. For interviews, freshers must be prepared from the subjects of their UG, as most questions will be asked from that. For workex people, you must be prepared with at least 1 favourite subject of yours from UG as you might get some questions from that as well apart from your work related questions.
