About XIMB

XIMB is one of the prominent b-schools of India. It provides MBA in Business Management as a flagship program. It considers scores of different exams like CAT, XAT, X-Gmt, GMAT. I have belled the CAT exam with 89 percentile. Because I had an Odisha quota reservation I was shortlisted for the next round. XIMB is a vast college with world-class faculty, friendly mentors. In XIMB, the cut-off generally is 90 percentile, then shortlisted students undergo GD, PI, and WAT. Then according to the performance of students, they are called for admission.

In XIMB, we have world-class faculties with a lot of industry experiences. All the faculties are PhD holders. They are highly qualified, experienced, and some are entrepreneurs as well. They are research and practical oriented. They are very open-minded and highly interactive. College faculties stay inside the campus and they are easily accessible. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10.

XIMB provides Summer internships to each and every student. These internships are paid and it provides 100 percent placement during a summer internship. Each student of XIMB gets diverse opportunities for live projects. Some of the live projects are even provided with a salary. live projects are mainly of 1-2 month duration.

XIMB is well known for its placement records. It provides 100 percent placement to its students every year. The highest package (International) was 58 lakh rupees and for domestic, it was 28 lakh rupees. The average package in 2020 was 15.4 lakh rupees. All the big companies come during the placement process. Some well-known companies like Delloite, Infosys, Emami, Godrej, TCS, Tata steel, etc. Each student at least gets 2-3 offers during his/her final placement.

Per year fees in XIMB is Rs 1050000. This fee is only the academic fees excluding hostel and mess charges. There is no provision of scholarship or financial assistance present. 100 percent placement occurs with an average 15.4 lakh package. Each and every student gets a summer internship. Well-known companies come for the final as well as the summer internship process.

XIMB is well known for its fests and events. Apart from a rigorous curriculum, XIMB manages to organize dozens of events. It is well known that "XIMB never sleeps". It organizes the biggest b-school fest in eastern India. The library of XIMB is too large with a collection of large quantities of books, and journals. In XIMB, classrooms are world-class with all the facilities in them. All the events are organized by the student committees. Different clubs are present to organize sports and other extracurricular activities on the campus.

Hostels are very good with all the world-class facilities. They are very neat and clean. Wifi connection is provided in each and every hostel. Meal quality is moderate and a menu of the mess changes every month. Food quality is good and healthy. Hostel allocation occurs randomly. All the hostels are present inside the campus. There are different types of rooms present, which are allocated as per the preference given by students during the admission process eg. single room, double room, or triple sharing room.

I have applied for the CAT examination and scored 89 percentile. As I am a domicile of Odisha, I got shortlisted for the next round. In my next round, there was GD, WAT, and PI. After this process, I got selected for the 2-year program of MBA in BM. Interview questions are basically on current affairs, business news, and the main focus was my graduation topics. For non-domicile students, the cut-off is slightly higher which is 90 percentile.
