Remarks
Some good things about the college are the legacy of 33 years, decent brand & alumni base. Some bad things are the extremely high course fees (w.r.t the colleges of the same tier) & the high batch size of 360 due to which there is always a high competition for the few good roles both in summers as well as in finals. I joined here as I didn't have any other better converts. The admission process includes the written tests along with the GD-PI-WAT round. The 2nd rounds happen mostly in the month of Feb.-March. You can check out the PG groups for any update on the groups.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good here. The average faculty:student is 1:15. Most of the faculty are highly qualified i.e PHDs & the case based teaching methodology is adapted here. Regarding the exams in subjects; all subjects have end term(ET) exam at the end of the trimester along with bi-weekly or tri-weekly quizzes & some subjects also have MT exam. If you're attentive in the class & revise them timely; you can do well in the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Some companies that come to campus for summers are TCS, Tata Steel, Deloitte, Infy, CapG, Cognizant among others. Most roles offered are sales roles w.r.t some roles in other domains. Operations roles are rare. Also due to the huge batch size, many people might not get their desired role in summers. But this problem is somewhat not there in finals as many companies offer different roles in finals w.r.t the roles they offered in summers. The average stipend hovers around 65k/2 months.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fee is 20.3 lakhs & if you add the mess & hostel fees; it is nearly 22 lakhs(apart from this you have your own expenses for the 2 years) which is quite high w.r.t the colleges of the same tier. There is no such scholarship offered by the college or any corporate. So you've to bear the cost by yourself. You'll get loans for your study from all the nationalized banks & the college achieves 100% placement in finals every year. So you'll get a job here.
Campus Life
The annual function of the college is called 'Xpressions' which is a 3 days event which happens in the month of November. There are a total of 19 clubs & committees in the college & a student can be part of any of these depending on his/her interest. The library is boasted of thousands of books & journals which are helpful in many ways. Many of the sports such as cricket, badminton, lawn tennis, football, basketball etc.
Hostel Facilities
As it is a fully residential course, so you've to stay in hostels. there are a total of 6 hostels for both boys & girls inside the campus. Some hostels are having single sharing rooms & some are having sharing rooms as well. The menu gets changed every month & food is good here. Some facilities provided in the rooms are a bed(only the wood bed; you need to bring your own mattress ), 2 tables & 1 cup-board. The price for the hostels is a bit too high IMO.
Interview Experience
The admission process includes GD-PI-WAT after the written tests. The GD topics are mostly related to CA, some eco. related topics & some abstract topics. the WAT topic is the same as the GD topic i.e you need to write on the same topic as that of GD. For PI freshers should be well versed with their academic subjects. For work-ex people, apart from work related thing, you should prepare for at least 1 fav subject of yours from your UG as questions might come from their as well.
