Review for BIMTECH, PGDM

The best part of BIMTECH is its experienced and knowledgeable faculties, especially marketing faculties. Talking about ROI it has decent ROI with nominal fees and the average placement is around 7 Lakhs per annum. The college has a decent blend of people with varied backgrounds which provides a better environment and learning. The only drawback is the type of job roles you will get after placement, college just focuses on placement not on the perfect job role according to your profile and interest. You have to write CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT to enter this college and according to cut off further phase-wise interviews and WAT/GD will be conducted. Interestingly you have a chance to give an interview for BIMTECH prior to your CAT results, in phase 1.

I am inclined towards Marketing since I opted to pursue MBA that's why I choose Marketing as my major, due to my Statistics and mathematics background I also choose analytics as my minors (Business vertical). This is the best part of BIMTECH as they give you a chance to choose your business vertical (BFSI, Data Analytics, IT IES), Faculty-student ratio is decent and BIMTECH have some well-qualified faculties from IIM-A as well (Prof Dhruva chak, Prof. RJ Maslamani) there is no flaw in the exam and timely trisem based exam are there.

People get internships from BIMTECH companies like UpGrad, Volvo Eicher, Nayanagal, HSBC, IDBI bank come for an internship, and students get placed after the CV selection and interview process. You also get a chance for different live projects as well.

From 4th trimesters different companies will come for campus recruitment. Companies like Gartner, KPMG, ICICI, Infosys, Maruti etc will come and offer decent packages with an average package of around 7 lakhs per annum. Mostly all students get placement even in the COVID majority of seniors are placed.

BIMTECH has average fees of around 6 lakh per annum and due to COVID there was no fees hike this time and the cost to study and ROI is both averages you also get a GD Birla Scholarship of worth Rs 50,000 if you are on the merit of the Trisemester examination. Students scoring 85 percentile above in CAT or XAT will get a scholarship of Rs 3,00,000 (approx).

There are many clubs and conduits in BIMTECH ranging from sports conduits to marketing clubs. I am in the Alumni conduit and marketing club (BIZMARK) it is the best experience in the college you learn many things from these clubs and conduit and mostly they are student-driven. Just one small suggestion admission process of BIMTECH must be student-driven which is not. The campus is not very big in 1st year it is not a residential campus for boys you have to live in RCI vidya vihar hostel of BIMTECH which is just 1.5 km away from the college. Campus life is decent with some restrictions as well. The classrooms are well-equipped campus is neat and clean with a decent hostel.

Hostels are nice with excellent taste of food as I discussed the system of the hostels earlier in RCI it is twin sharing room and in campus, it is a single room with all facilities, just to add in RCI washrooms are very small. Food is the best part of BIMTECH, the menu is decided by food conduit it has a wide variety of menu chosen from every corner of India, mess people are well behaved. You get 4 meals every day and there is a cafeteria as well available till 11 PM.

After you qualify merit which was 75 percentile for CAT and XAT, 95 percentile for CMAT you would have a WAT or GD (My topic was related to aerospace for WAT). Which was followed by an interview in which they asked me about myself and questions related to my graduation (Statistics and economics). So for better preparation, you must be aware of the latest topics and should know the basics of your graduation subjects. You should be well prepared for the intro question i.e. "Tell me about yourself".
