BIMTECH Detailed Review

I heard of BIMTECH many times from many of my friends who were preparing for the CAT exam. I did a bit of research and found BIMTECH as a decent PGDM Institute. Fees are relatively high. I applied for BIMTECH in November and got a PI letter by profile based selection. I went to campus in January and gave an Interview which was an amazing experience there. I felt warmth and comfort in the atmosphere on the Campus of BIMTECH. I was really happy when I got my Admission offer letter in February. I preferred to choose BIMTECH because of its Infrastructure, Experienced Faculty and industrial exposure.

I choose PGDM because it is a flagship Course and placements are decent. Most of the faculties are PhD and have both industrial and teaching experience. Teaching method - Case Studies discussion and Simulation games Exams happen every 3 months and we have to revise the concepts regularly to score well. Internship Duration - May to June (2 Month)

Both startups and big Companies come for Internship opportunities. Institute also allow students to get an Internship on their own if they have contacts. Bajaj Allianz, American Express, Eicher, Blue Star, Gerresheiemer and many renowned companies come for the summer internship and provide diverse roles such as Business Development trainee, market research, etc. Most of the students get an internship from Campus. Few companies also give Pre Placement Offer (PPO) to promising candidates.

The average Placement is around 7-8 lakh. Around 100-110 companies visit for Final placements. Highest Package - 22 Lakh Around 95% of students get placed. I am planning to get into a reputed MNC after completion of the Degree.

Fees of PGDM - 1200000. Fees of PGDM IB - 1150000. Fees of PGDM IBM - 900000. Fees of PGDM RM - 900000. Hostel and Mess Fees - 87000 for 6 months. Scholarship for students who scored more than 85 percentile in CAT - 200000. Scholarship for Trimester topper - 50000.

There are many clubs and Conduits which conducts interesting events throughout the year. There is Cultural Conduit, Food Conduit, Discipline Conduit, CSR, Cycle club, Music Society, UFE Club, Sports Conduit, Foot and Boot, 22Yards, BIZMARK, FINBIZ, Retrospective, Retalia. The library is equipped with all kind of reference books and business journals. Classrooms are equipped with a digital board and have a circular arrangement of seats which makes no student a backbencher.

Air conditioned room with Bed and Mattress. The heater is provided in winters. Food is awesome and mess provides 4 meals a day. The hostel is compulsory as BIMTECH provides residential courses only. Girls live at Campus Hostels and Boys live at Off campus hostel which is around 1.5 km far from Campus. Facilities are the same for both hostels.

There is 10 minutes WAT ( Written Ability Test) instead of GD. Followed by PI which lasts for 15-20 minutes. The topic for WAT could be any current affair. Questions of Interview revolves around who you are and what you have done to date. To prepare for WAT & PI - Read The Hindu, MINT or any kind of newspaper which keeps you updated about both local and global happenings.
