Course Curriculum Overview
Overall you will be learning more than you will ever use in your whole carrier as engineer. Research wise laboratories are well equipped and teachers are always ready to help.
Placement Experience
Around 95% of students who sit for placements get placed easily. Companies are diverse and offer around 8 - 15 lpa on avg, but package is subjective and highly depends on individual. Core placements offer a bit less package of around 5 - 10 lpa. Overall you won't be disappointed from placement process as Big names like Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and major startups do visit campus for placements.
College Events
Spring Fest, popularly known as SF, is the annual social & cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur held during the month of January in the spring semester. The first edition was held in 1960 and since then it has grown to be one of the largest student-run college fests in India. Kshitij is the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, one of India’s premier technical institutions. Started in the year 2004, the idea of Kshitij was conceived with the aim to provide the technically inclined youth a national-level platform, where their talent and expertise would be recognized and duly rewarded.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The IIT panel, headed by IIT-Roorkee Chairman Ashok Misra, met last month and approved a proposal for a three-fold increase in fee from the present Rs. 90,000 to Rs. three lakh from the next academic session.
