BIMTECH is one of the premier management institutes in India. The quality of education is very good and the teachers are highly qualified and have good industrial exposure. The placement cell of the college is successful in attracting big companies and if you get admission over here you have a great chance of getting into the leading MNCs. Although because of the covid 19 pandemic college manages to place 81% of its 2019-21 till February 2021. And the average package stands at 8.08 LPA, which was not a big drop as compared to the previous year. The college accepts CAT XAT and CMAT scores for all of its courses and MAT for PGDM-RM and PGDM-IBM course. The cut off for its flagship PDGM course is 70 percentile for CAT and XAT and 95 percentile for CMAT. Once you clear the cut off you have to appear for WAT and PI and your final admission depends on your overall performance in WAT and PI, your entrance exam score, your scores in 10th, 12th and grad, work experience and some factors.
Course Curriculum Overview
PDGM is the flagship course of BIMTECH which is divided into four majors i.e. Marketing, Finance, Operations and HR and three minors i.e. BFSI, IT and Data Analytics. The faculties are highly qualified and have great industrial exposure. There are midterms, online tests and end-term exams spread over the course of one trimester for all the subjects and all the exams are very much practical and based on the learnings in the classroom and is not very much difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The students every year got the opportunity to get the summer internship from the college itself. The internship can be either paid or unpaid. Even in this pandemic situation college is able to attract companies like Bajaj, EY, IDBI, Blue Star and many others for the summer internship.
Placement Experience
From the 5th trimester, the company starts visiting the campus for recruitment. Almost the whole batch use to get a place. Some leading recruiting partners include Amazon, KPMG, Infosys, Gartner, Accenture, Grant Thornton and many others. The highest package for the 2018-20 batch was 23 LPA and the average package for the same year was 8.13 LPA and 97% of students got placed that year. The profile offered to the students is in the different fields including BFSI, IT, Analytics, Sales etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure are as below. (ALl figures are in INR), PGDM - 12 Lakhs, PGDM(IB) - 11.5 Lakhs, PGDM(RM) - 9 Lakhs, PGDM(IBM) - 9 Lakhs, Students who score more than 85 percentile in CAT and XAT will get a scholarship worth Rs 2 Lakh. And in every trimester the students who top get the PUJYA Shri GD Birla Scholarship worth Rs. 50000 and 25000 depending on the rank of the students.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very nice with everything happening around every another day by various clubs and conduits. Talking about infrastructure the college is well equipped with all the latest technologies required to take blended most of the classes and also the safety of the students are taken into consideration at this time of the pandemic.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are compulsory to opt for if you take admission because it is a residential program. For girls the hostel the within the campus and for boys there is a hostel within the campus for final year students and a hostel outside the campus for first-year students. All the hostel are well equipped and safe for students and bus service is provided by the college to the students who live in the outside hostel which is around 1.5 km from the main campus.
Interview Experience
The college conducts WAT and PI as their final round for admission. The topics can be abstract or can be related to current affairs and require a basic understanding and knowledge along with some writing skills to get through. Interviews for the college are very smooth and the panellists who are mostly the faculties of the college are very polite and encouraging during the interview. Other criteria which college consider for admissions are marks in 10th, 12th and graduation, work experience and many others. To encourage the female candidates to take admission and to maintain a good gender ratio college provides 2% marks for the female candidate. The questions asked in the interview is mostly general questions which can also be situational, question-based on education background, work background and some general knowledge questions.
