Decent college

It's a residential programme and has the backing of a corporate house. It is their flagship programme which is the good part. A good number of companies visit the campus every year esp in the finance domain. The pay package is strictly average. The crowd is decent and a mixed bag. Hostel and mess facilities are fine. The campus is small but very well maintained. The teaching methodology can be improved and some subjects which serve no purpose can be deleted from the course structure to help us focus on important ones. The batch size can be reduced for ease of placements. Admission is through the score of CAT/ XAT followed by an interview. The overall profile is scanned for admissions. I did a little bit of research before joining the college. Went through websites like MBA universe, collegedunia, connected to people on LinkedIn. Based on the feedback I opted for this college. Since it is in Delhi/NCR it is more likely that corporate houses visit its campus for placements. So location is important while selecting a college.

Preferring PGDM over others gives you more options to choose from at a later stage basis your interest (finance, marketing, HR & operations). First, two trimesters are a mixed bag of subjects, specialization based subjects are introduced from Trimester Some extra subjects like Experientia Learning, Lead and ELab can be removed from curriculum to help us focus on core subjects as it needs more time and energy. The teacher faculty ratio is decent. For both years combined, we have 70+ faculty members. Most teachers are PHD holders or have industry experience. Most teachers are experienced and have 10+ years of experience.The teaching method can be improved upon and can be made more case method basis. It can be made more interactive. We follow a trimester system and it was pretty easy to clear the exams with regular studies. It gets a little difficult from trimester 3 when specialization is introduced. Exams were on schedule and conducted properly. Online proctoring was done in the last trimester.

50% of the batch got internship from campus, most of them were pro-bono. EY, Bajaj Allianz, Calesberg did visit campus for summers among others. However the brand names were few, it was mostly startups who came for summers.

The students become eligible for students from Trimester 4 itself. 100+ companies visit campus everywhere for placements. 18+ was highest for domestic and 6 was an average package. Profiles included that of business analyst, associate in credit rating, valuation, corporate finance profile. 95% of the batch gets placed every year which is a pretty decent number.

The tuition fee is 12,00,000 for two years and the hostel and mess charges are 4,00,000 for the entire course. You might end up spending another 1,00,000-2,00,000 while living on the campus. Fees hikes happen every one or two years. Due to covid fees were kept constant atleast for this batch. The college offers various scholarship like initially for students obtaining more than 85% in CAT & XAT. Similarly, there are scholarships for students who are merit holders in every trimester for every programme. Campus placement is average with a package ranging from 6-9 Lpa for most batch. No student was placed at less than 5 LPA. Placements are a mixed bag, some brand names visit campus for decent profiles. In marketing, the sales role is in dominance. More than half the batch is placed for a summer internship but most internships were pro-bono. More startups visited campus for summers. There were fewer brand names for summers. The placements were also affected due to covid-19 this year, yet placement was comparable.

The college has 13 conduits and 11 clubs all of them are quite active and conduct various events and competitions. All relevant material and books are available in the library. The classes are spacious and comfortable and have all the necessary amenities. The campus has a host of activities and sports events to participate in. It has a basketball, volleyball and a badminton court. Inter department matches are conducted frequently for students. So it has an active campus life.

The hostel is on a single occupancy basis and pretty comfortable. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The food was nice and they maintained a certain level of hygiene and taste. It had AC/Blower according to the weather. During the quarantine, food was served at our doorstep. Post that we availed mess facilities which were well maintained.

GD topic was the role of ethics in life, it was more of an essay writing session than GD. Interview ques were mostly based on profile and past experience for freshers in your past field of study. Few questions were asked to check the presence of the mind. I went through the current affairs topic, prepared questions from my CV thoroughly. It was a fairly simple process and was conducted in a day time. They check your basic thinking process and your presence of mind. Other than this your past academic record does play role in the selection process.
