My college experience

Kaziranga University is one of the most prominent and advanced Unversity in the entire northeast, the infrastructure is really good, it consists of two buildings, one for departments of science and technology as well as for health science, the other building is mainly for the school of business. The admission process is very easy, either you can give an entrance exam of the university or you can directly approach the university. The fees of each and every individual mainly depend on the marks she or he had scored in the 12th board exam.

I am pursuing Computer Science and Technology as I am very much interested in computers and want to know how it works. Programming and solving complex logical questions always make me happy, along with the academic activity this course also provides various opportunities to compete in various tech competition such as hackathons and also give us exposure to various internship from many popular companies. The Department of computer science has associated with IBM and provides various market demanding IMB courses free of cost. The teachers are very friendly and helpful, the teaching method is quite good, end semester exams are conducted every 6 months, internal exams are conducted before the semester exam and the difficulty of the exam is average, the questions are given from the concepts taught in the class.

The college helps us to find the internship but it will not provide us, due to covid this year(2021) internship is provided for 8th-semester students of the Mechanical department inside the campus. For CSE students certain online internships are provided by the college.

From the 6th semester, the students become eligible to sit over an interview for placement. The college promise 100% placement for the students, many companies such as TCS, Byju's, etc come to the college for placement. The highest placement is 12 lakh per annum got a student from CSE, the average package is 4 to 6 lakh per annum. I am planning to start my own business after my graduation.

The fee structure of the student depending upon the marks he or she had scored in the 12th board exam. 1. Less than 60% - 55000 /semester 2. More than 60%-45000/semester Two boys hostel are available if anyone wishes to stay in a hostel, the hostel fees are as follows:- batch(2019)-35000/semester. Loans can be easily availed for education, the college promise 100% placement opportunities but it comes with various circumstances.

Life at hostel and college is amazing, the food provided is also hygienic and healthy, there is no ragging in the college. The most amazing fest is called the 'Talent Tantra' which give a platform for each and everyone to showcase their talent, many sports competition are organized such as football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc, musical competitions are also organized which consists of dance competition, singing, dance battle, beatboxing, etc. Famous artists are invited to perform at this fest, in 2019 the famous band of India called 'local train' had performed. There is a large library inside the college building with all kinds of books, journals, and magazines where one can sit undisturbed to gain knowledge. There are various clubs in the college which are organized and run by students and focus on various development of the students such as body and soul, literature club, etc.

The hostel food is healthy and hygienic, the menu consists of roti, paratha, chicken, paneer, dal, papad, curd, bread, and butter, corn flakes, milk, tea, coffee, etc. The registration process for the hostel is very easy, after doing all the registration for the course, it can be done. There are many PGs and rent rooms available near to the college, so it will not be a hard job to find a rent or a PG if you don't want to stay in the hostel.

Since it is a private university, it is not compulsory to give any kind of entrance exam, but it is better if you have given any to avail some discount over the fee structure. Merit based scholarships are also provided to students at the time of admission.
