Remarks

I had talked to the ex students of this college and they gave me pretty positive reviews about this college. Currently I am studying in this college and I am happy about it. College gives the freedom and encourages the students to participate in the intercollege and other competitions like Hackathon. I myself have participated in a national level held competition held by SAE and my team had won the first prize. Apart from that there is a canteen as well as a cafe inside the campus which is quite good. The culture inside the college is also nice and encouraging. All I want to say is if you are looking for a good autonomous college in Pune then you can keep this as an option.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

All kind of Teachers/faculty can be seen in the college. Some are so good. For example, some teachers have done their PhDs and they have their own research papers published and also have their patents filed. Coming to the other category of teachers, there are some less experienced and discouraging teachers as well but I must say that they can be dealt with and it is a part and parcel of any educational institution.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are no on-campus internships offered by the college. But the college arranges for the off-campus internships by being in a partnership with the companies. These internships offer a great opportunity for students to get used to the work environment of the company and helps them smoothly transition from a student to a company employee. The college has Stated that is mandatory for students to get an internship in the final year of the academic session. This encourages the students to get hands-on experience in the working environment. The college arranges for internships and also looks after the students.

Placement Experience

4

Placements usually start during the second semester of the third year for engineering students. There are various options in companies for students. There are various training and placement executives and training and placement officers who help in the whole process of placement. Mostly the companies which take the most number of students are service-based companies like TCS. The college has a good record of providing placement for students. There are also exceptions of students getting placed in Japanese and German companies. The minimum salary package offered by companies is 3.5 LPA and the maximum has gone up to 25 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for open students-Rs 1,13,190. Fees for OBC students-Rs 62,000. Fees for SC students-Rs 10,000. Fees for ST students-Rs 150. There are various government scholarships and schemes for students coming for economically weak or backward backgrounds.

Campus Life

4.5

There are various cultural, technical and non technical clubs in the college. Various clubs participate for various state, inter college or national/international level held competitions. It provides for a great learning opportunity for freshers. There are also cultural as well as technical fests which are held annually wherein various people from different colleges or backgrounds come to participate and enjoy the fest. There are also various opportunities for students to participate in the sports related competitions and the college provides full support to the students. There is also a library for students wherein they can go for studying and also take books for studying. There are ACs and comfortable chairs and tables.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 2 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls inside the campus. Both the boys hostel have 4 floors and all of them are provided with facilities like personal bathroom as well as toilets, wifi facility, 2 water coolers on each floor. Each room comprises of 3 beds/cots and 3 cupboards. Maximum 3 students are allowed in each room. The rooms are spacious enough for a student. The students also have a study table as well as chairs which they can use for studying. There is a time restriction for students where boys should be there in their respective hostels before 10 pm and girls should be there in their respective hostels before 9:30 pm. There are various peons and hostel rector in case of any help required. In case of any problems, the students can freely go the rector.

Interview Experience

5

There was no GD for admission. The process was simple and fast. The whole process was done under the government guidelines i.e after passing the MHTCET and 12th board exams, the marks were evaluated on the website and then the college calls for the admission if the marks are greater than or equal to the cutoff for respective branches.
