Remarks
Netaji Subhash Engineering College is a great choice for wannabe engineers and is one of the first private engineering colleges in the state. Since 1998, it has flourished and gifted the world some great talents. The college and departments are great and nice, and the campus is good. The atmosphere is quiet and fit for studies. The faculty are friendly and cooperative. The mentors are always ready to help you. The placements are good. For entertainment, there are tech fests and departmental programs every year, which will give you ample opportunities to take place in cultural events.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is affiliated with MAKAUT (formerly WBUT). The course curriculum is similar to every MAKAUT affiliated college. The syllabus has been updated recently to provide the students with the latest technology trend information. There are three unit tests and a final exam every semester. Exams are taken timely and teachers are helpful during exam times. The faculty: student ratio is almost 7:1, which is a great way to communicate with teachers and not create a crowd of havoc. Unit tests are appropriately set, keeping in mind the importance of the topics and what is needed in the future. The faculty is exceptionally good, with all the teachers being always present to help you and friendly.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college are good. Almost everybody can get placed if you study well and have basics clear. I got placed in two companies, TCS and CTS. Both of these companies are great for a fresher. TCS offers the position of Assistant System Engineer, while CTS offers the role of Programmer Analyst Trainee. Due to COVID-19, this year, all the placements were conducted online.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fee structure is similar to the general fees of engineering. The fees are 38000 in the first year and increase 2000 every year to become 44000 at the end of four years. There are training fees for Value Added Training offered every semester. The examination fee is 1500 every semester. I got an offer from Tata Consultancy Services (3.36LPA) and Cognizant Technology Solutions (4.0 LPA). Both the companies are giants and the college has an affiliation with them. The placements are good in general.
Campus Life
Campus life in the college is beautiful, with the atmosphere being quiet and appropriate for studies. The campus is well decorated and feels great. There is everything near the college you need. Students can have fun inside or outside. The building is big with numerous classrooms and spacious corridors. The classrooms are big and great for accomodation.
