IIT KGP is the best place a student can get internet in India. It is also a best place for a start up.

I took IIT-JEE. I had an All India Rank of 954. I opted for this college because this is the only college that gives a masters degree in Ocean Engineering.

Course curriculum is very good. 1st and the 2nd year have some common subjects. Departments have experimental facilities. All study facilities are available. The library is the biggest library in Asia.

College internship experienced was excellent. I got an internship in Mumbai through the institute itself. I got to learn a great deal from the internship.

Placement and job opportunities are higher than any other college. Students have a lot of platform here. The placement cell also constitutes of a student body. Thus we have good access.

The main college events celebrated are 1) Kshitij - techno-management fest 2) Spring fest - Cultural fest 3) Illumination and rangoli at the occasion of Diwali. 4) Hall days. There are fests for each departments also.

The fee structure is less than other private colleges. The entire fees for a semester is taken together. It is around 1 lakh per semester including tuition, hostel, mess and medical insurance. The SC/ST/OBC students have their concessions.

Each department has their own scholarship programme. The state bank of India provides loan to every student getting admitted to IIT kharagpur. It has to be repaid only after passing out in installments.

Kshitij and spring fest are one of the largest college festivals in India. The participation is really huge. Also IIT kgp provides a lot of platforms to polish the students' extra curricular abilities in sports, music, arts and literature. There is also an NCC unit working it IIT KGP. A lot of importance is being given to the Entrepreneurship cell.

Hostel facilities are every good. All maintenance are done free of cost. The internet facility is the best in India. The LAN network is also very good.

Alumni network is very efficient in this college. There are student representatives selected every year to work in the Alumin cell. a lot of job opportunities and scholarships come through this network. Funding for start up also come through this network.

Exam structure is very well organized. Seating arrangement of the students are done very efficiently. There is never a confusion regarding the exam timings or seating arrangements.

The faculty are also very helpful towards the students. They are strict but are very open to students.
